The Handy only sold 200k units since 2017.
Think about that for a minute.
I hope you guys are smart enough to take a loss on hardware with a "connect to SLR" button it, because that's what you are actually selling. A sub to your site.
Making it prohibitively expensive, will just cause people to nope out, and each nope is a lost sub, potentially. I assume you want to draw in a new audience, not just please your current base.
What's more valuable a return customer for years or a shock sticker in a world of heavy competition and not a lot of buyers.
There may be some overlap, but if you want to draw in new subs, then just eat as much of the Melody cost as you can.
Did you know, "Wendy's"- the hamburger joint, takes a loss on every single item on their menu, save one?
Soda.
Wendy's makes money by selling you a 35 cent cup/lid/straw, 5 cents of soda water with 15 cents of the syrup for $2.29.
I don't believe you can compete with the Handy 2, still being a single axis stroker, really bringing nothing innovative to the table, - BEYOND - one touch connection to SLR. There's no world where you price this thing near the handy 2 and it sells much. You make it REAL affordable and you'll collect subs, I believe.
BBa, FSU. Just looking at the environment.
We will see what path you chose soon, I reckon?
