For a fair comparison you need to give flat at least a year to grow viewer numbers, SLR has always been known as a VR website so it's not on the radar of 2D viewers until word gets out which takes time and money

I totally got the idea of expanding the audience with 2D - once it was obvious after a decade that VR has not become the future of porn - but was always wondering why this was never properly advertised. Not even a single word about it on the new website which is still all about VR. Actually, SLR already became a 2D website once they had flattened the entire VR library but this happened in absolute secret.

I share your sentiments. New SLR is a start for other projects release from OP. There will be more of them coming. I'll follow up after releases go public. Makes no sense to speculate on dates given complexity and dynamics. Everyone is working hard to get things done and we are building a strong foundation for a robust VR platform

We are fully committed to get things done and get it great. Unfortunately we have got our major releases running in parallel. New slr is the first one to go. Keep the whining part to yourself or gtfo.

Absolutely hit the nail on the head! I would 100x rather have wankz, milf, badoink, vrb, etc as "Stream Only" and with 4+ month release delay, than not have them at all! Besides, one of the things this site is still best at is AIPT streaming anyway; material from those sites could really be elevated here, given the chance. 🤞

There does seem to be some effort in getting new content. I've noticed that yanks and vrgodess have been uploading new videos. Ddfvr also put a few up but stopped, not sure what that was about. Would be nice if they could pull in some more big studios even if it is delayed or stream only.

Don't give them this very bad idea. This would be the start of the ends of downloads for everything. At this moment, only JAV have this treatment. If they give it to some "mainstream" studio, you really expect others will not ask the same thing?

We have learned recently that the vast majority of customers is only streaming. So streaming-only deals won't change a thing for third-party studios.

SchnuppiLilac This is probably correct. As a bit of a uh..."heavy" user of SLR, I really only download my ABSOLUTE favorite scenes and otherwise just enjoy other scenes maybe a few times. So I have a select handful that I keep in case an apocalypse were to ever happen LOL. I would love to see more studios join SLR even if we can't download their vids. That said, I'd worry it might start a trend and then NO studio would want to allow their vids to be downloaded? Maybe that wouldn't happen though and it would all be a win-win situation.

If a no downloads option is what brings big studios back then why not have it? Better than not having it at all. Instead of downloads allow the master to be streamed for those videos or something that offsets the no downloads rule. Just get them back on the platform first.

svanir My point is: What would be the win for a major studio that could exist just fine without SLR for years? They won't make more money by coming back and not allowing downloads if 90% or more are not downloading in the first place. They'd rather lose subscribers to SLR because their videos will have AI PT and scripts there. I think if you really want them to come back, you need to offer paying extra (like +$5 per month to unlock that studio's content), not just remove some features that won't hurt most.

Removing downloads on videos is cancer

The reason studios are not on SLR is not related to downloads imo, it's financial or maybe they are against one platform becoming too big

The last thing we want is a netflix of VR porn where you don't own anything and it all disappears into thin air when contracts end, the same thing is happening with some digital games
