and then the audio. If this was some 4K video - fine. But if it's 6k or 8k...the audio should be a lot better/ flawless. Not something I notice. No other mainline studio has this issue. But it took me a while to realize this.
vrtester My only qualm with them is the 6k. It's high time they embrace 8k.

The scale is always off, always too big - but usually (not always) fixable in the player so that it's at least watchable. I'm sure the scale used to be better?
Anyway, I'm a fan. More so if they get rid of the stupid short version / director's cut dual releases.
Never noticed any of those things, they tend to have some of the better lighting imo
I don't like when studios have bright rooms and use spotlights, everything is washed out

fenderwq if you read the thread, I'm clearly not alone in thinking too big. My IPD is 68.
Bear in mind, relative scaling does change with passthrough, significantly - at least for me. The cameras are not 100% precise in terms of replicating our perspective, and they're not precisely where our eyes are. Scenes which look accurate in PT don't work as well in normal VR, and vice-versa, because in PT you compare the model's size to the camera's view of the scene, not your own instinctive sense of space - if that makes sense. Is the scaling still right for you when you turn off PT?

We are surprised to read that there should be an audio issue. Not sure what you exactly mean by 'The audio always has an echo in it.' ?

Should be clean as we never have had any complaint about audio quality.
Are you really talking about VRedging scenes when you write about that many of our scene settings have 'black / dark walls' ? Interesting as the last ten scenes were all shot during daylight in bedrooms mostly with bright / white walls. Do you maybe have some links of your mentioned many black walls / dark walls settings, please?

VRedging What about the scale being too big? This is my biggest hang-up with your scenes. I'm sure you have heard that before.
Don't just go and buy the 8k camera that everybody else does because that makes things too big also. I don't know about the cameras but I do know that a lot of them make things too big and a few studios make things look correct.

I agree that if you put a scene in PT that the scaling completely changes.
rerun119 I will say that it's rare that I can't fix the scaling to an acceptable degree in Heresphere. Like maybe 10% fail for me on technical grounds. I find the scaling in VR Massaged far more problematic, with at least 50% of their scenes having unfixable (big) scaling.
I've never shot in VR so I don't know how easy it is to address this issue in production or post.
vrpicasso most of them are right for me in both passthtough and regular vr yes. I remember a few in recent memory that where too small though. Which I find less noticeable when I turn off pass-through not more noticable. My ipd is 65. 68 is pretty big though and might explain your issues.
Also I just a quest 3 for passthrough. I've done some tests and only things closer then 1m to the camera get distorted for me. The rest is a perfect match for me scale wise.
@rerun119 are your still on the pimax 8kx? That might explain things. Used it for years and it's a great headset but I had to modify the software ipd to get to the right scale (compared to my index then). Also I think I remember you saying the scale was right for scenes I found way too small.
BTW it doesn't mean I don't believe it's too small for you I just doubt if it is so for most people.
Also having slightly smaller scale is always worse then slightly larger scale as the former comes at a further decrease in visual quality when correcting. Of course perfect scale is most important but also subjective and can only be done for the median

It's not too small, it's too big. I would believe it is too big over too small for most people. I have seen lots of comments about too big and very rarely about too small. That goes for all studios that people complain about scaling. If you think that it looks correct then you are a lucky man because I find a lot of studios are too big on scale.
I would also say for me being too big is a worse problem than small because when it's too big it is also too far away. So to fix it you have to zoom to get the right distance which just makes the girl bigger or zoom out for scale which just makes it further away. I have given up on trying to even watch these scenes with DEO. With Heresphere I agree that it can almost fix most problems. I just don't want to download all these videos.
I am back to the a new Pimax 8kx. I was watching these scenes we are talking about with the quest3. To me they look the same as far as scaling wise.
Side note to everybody. My quest 3 melted at the point where you plug it in. I'm lucky that something didn't catch on fire. The HDMI cable melted too. I'm guessing the cable it cheap from china. Not the one that came with the quest. I think the cable got too hot and melted it and the where you plug it in.
