I'm ok with the quality from streaming and like I mentioned b4 if you give a drug addict drugs they will abuse them, so give me a download and I can get trigger happy bro with some downloads plus my net pretty fast, i can practically download the whole web, just about...so I'm good with no downloads because downloads can get very stressful and trigger minor anxiety downloading 60gigs on one file. And x that multiple times over, yeah bro I get anxiety just describing it. Lots of gigs, TB's!

And plus my vision not as up to par as it once wad, I use to be able to see threw walls but I'm getting older now so 8k will probably not look as a 8k should anyway, I don't wear glasses, I passed an id test bout year ago but my eyes be watery sometimes, plus I be haf so vision can go up and down, some days I see great.

It would be incredible, but it's not gonna happen unfortunately - I'm always totally honest and concerned about the upcoming app update due to the fact that the WebXR format looks terrible to me, i never commented as it just doesn't effect me and learned to withdraw experience where it isn't valued or appreciated.
But im concerned that the new app may be based on this engine - hopefully i'm wrong cause the image quality is awful, but this is just a total guess - Most people understand the world of cost cutting and streamlining for more profits regardless of user experience, but that's my cynicism shining through !
If, however the new DeoVR app is genuinely built from the ground up and not some sort of 'FrankensteinApp' built from the dead corpse (for all the lefty ninnies - this is a metaphor) of the old one then it has the possibility of good quality streaming with Ai Passthrough, but who knows ?

This scene i have download and looks fine apart from the vertical alignment (which is now expected from most studios due to zero quality control) but if you look at the right hand wall there are bitrate artifacts all over it that look fine on the downloaded version.
I've got to the route issue regarding this scene for me personally - I had my 'Saturation' at +5 which was the cause of the issue.
If you put your 'Saturation' at +10 or more it will show an over exagerated version of the issue i was having.
For some reason this scene in particular was affected by use of saturation.
However +5 on saturation shouldn't be causing these issues IMO.
BTW i'm not replying to myself, just using it as a quote for reference

Any chance you have altered sharpness on top of saturation? It seems that in DeoVR the fps count drops significantly as soon as you change sharpness plus one of the other image settings.

You were the one who kindly helped me with the 'Sharpness' issue previously when i had my Quest 2 where i was getting around 25 fps if i used sharpness so tend to avoid this option.
On my Q3 it's not quite as bad - however even when i don't add sharpness the fps seemed fairly poor compared to standalone apps like Heresphere or Pigasus even though the fps counter shows the same DeoVR looks as if it's missing frames to me even when set to 90 or 120.
Hopefully this will become a none issue with the new app

Too be honest it's mainly noticeable when i come from one the the other apps to DeoVR which makes it standout - Pigasus is rock solid for me and probably the most solid of all players regarding FPS, maybe cause it's quite light on options and concentrates of the important stuff ?
I did however manage to get Playa app working on my Q3 which has a set rate of 72 hz that's like a strobe light for me - i can definitely see flickering which is just unwatchable and everything seems to glimmer and wobble, but that's possibly due to poor anti aliasing - maybe others don't see it.
Anyway, thanks for the link it's an interesting read.
