  • Should we add Performer's Age on the day of filming for scenes?

Doing the math between DOB and footage release/upload date and showing it in the web and on the app. Maybe adjusting a search for it

Yes, but just use the dates--don't waste processing power calculating and displaying "1 week ago" or "1 month ago" or "2 years ago". It quickly becomes less accurate and more "rough" as time goes on. I'm not sure who that's even there for. If you can't figure out that August 19, 2022 was roughly 2 years ago, you have larger issues.

And those of us who want more specificity are forced to look at the code of each scene page--yes, the actual release date is in the code but doesn't get displayed. WTF, really?

This would be very helpful and preferred.

It would certainly be helpful to have release dates, especially for those of us with huge porn collections who need spreadsheets to catalogue what they've got. Seeing a scene was released '3 years ago' is so vague it's of no help at all, especially if it's an actress like (for example) Lara Sins, who seems to release a new anal scene every other week. But ideally the third-party scenes would need to match up with whenever they first released a scene.

Please go back to exact release dates. 2022-06-20 to 2023-05-27 is a period of 11 months but 3 years in SLR time 🙂

    <time datetime="2023-05-27" data-qa="page-scene-studio-date">1 year ago</time>
    <time datetime="2023-05-26" data-qa="page-scene-studio-date">2 years ago</time>

doublevr This was copied 2024-10-12 from actual page sources, yes. So '2 years ago' starts from 1 year and 4.5 months ago and ends 2 years and 4.5 months ago.
But the issue is inherent to the x years ago way. You can call a date that was 1.5 yrs ago either 1 or 2 yrs ago, it will be inaccurate either way.

What's with the resistance to changing the date format anyway? SLR is the only VR site that uses these "humanized" durations instead of specific dates. It's almost as if SLR is actively trying to make the site more frustrating to use.

doublevr changed the title to Should we add Performer's Age on the day of filming for scenes? .

C'mon now, that's an entirely different conversation than your original title of "displaying date of scene production".

fuccaneer my bad. Thought it would be cool to display performer's age for each scene
