diwanga Well the best way is to make an exclusive 5G wifi SSID in your house (don't share the same SSID with 2.4G) and connect to that. Look up your modem/router manual on how to do that. If you're connected to 2.4G you're most likely connected at 72mbps, which will result in about 50-55 mbps effective max which WILL cause stuttering on higher mbps files like the SLR originals. That's what's happened to me. I then noticed that when I connected to 5G, it actually connects at 200 mbps and things were suddenly working well.

Of course your problem might be a different one but first thing to do is to make sure you're connected to an exclusive 5G SSID.

Tried clearing the cache, no effect.
Lowering the video resolution is unacceptable as a solution, I pay a yearly membership to stream at the highest quality available and I have the hardwire and internet connection to support it.
Router is not throttling
Already on 1gbps ethernet.

issue occurs across all videos, doesn't seem to be tied to any specific video.

    CraveDastry What is your set-up by the way? Since you say that you are connected to ethernet, it seems you are not using DeoVR on a headset like Quest 2/3.

    @CraveDastry Probably already verified, but can you check the video is playing using H265 encoding and not 264?
    It might be hard to troubleshoot. Your headset (bigscreen beyond) is not super common, and most folks here won't be familiar with it. It might help to get an idea of your overall hardware setup.
    It sounds like you're using a PC connection to play the content. Can you provide details on your PC specs?

    1. GPU specs.
    2. Does your machine have multiple GPU's (especially dedicated card + integrated gpu)?
    3. While running a video, what does the GPU utilization look like in performance monitor?
    4. While running a video, CPU utilization of DeoVR and the orchestrator process (ex SteamVR or what you are using instead).
    5. Type of cable you are using for connecting to your PC. If USB, check the usb port version that you are plugging into. Also note if you are using any hubs/adapters.

      Maybe try saving the video (max quality) to your PC and play it from there in DeoVR (using a windows share). If that still stutters, try playing the video in 2d on the PC. This could be useful in helping you to find out what the problem is, because this obviously is a problem on your end in your setup somewhere.

Notably I can play high end PCVR without issue so I don't think I'm experiencing a system wide performance issue, it seems to be limited to deovr specifically and once the streaming video begins freezing the issue persists

        Yeah, it does sound like a DeoVr specific issue, and not system wide. And unfortunately I don't have a lot of expertise in SteamVr.

        But I do have one suggestion - this may be a faulty codec issue. Can you try re-installing your codecs using the instructions below? Then re-install deovr as well for good measure?
        You may have done this already in the past, but it's possible that an update in the meantime messed something up so that they are not working with DeoVR correctly. Even if other apps are fine.

        1. Codec Tweak tool, click 'Preferred Decoders' under Win7DSFilterTweaker. For h.264 and HEVC, make sure LAV is selected for both columns.
        2. In LAV Video Configuration, enable hardware acceleration, D3D11.

        Also, one other small thing. After the above, also set the process priority in task manager to 'High' for both steamVR and DeoVR.

        Very curious to hear if this makes a difference at all.

        In DeoVR settings, can you disable DirectShow?

          netcat performed the test, didnt have a video call but I streamed a high bitrate video the whole time
