  • Should we add BrainDance 6DOF gaussians on SLR?

FirmBark well this tech (things like gaussian splatting, nurbs, etc) is moving crazy fast but deconding volumetric vr videos still requires a lot of processing power now.

Bet we could run the 4k sbs equivalent (quality wise) on a 4090 or something but for sure not on a quest. It's gonna get there though and probabily sooner then later. This tech is moving very fast probably because it's very valuable for Ai training.

This would be great, I tried Braindance on my pico, spent 1-2 hours trying to figure it out. Was really bad experience and just wouldn’t work. Spent $10 on a scene, click download, app crashes. No support on the Braindance site or replies on Reddit.

I have a quest 3 and I have purchased all of https://brain-dance.ai/ content. With a little tinkering, it's a game-changing experience. They have dynamic(Video) content now and it's amazing. I hope more studios and people get involved because the more the better!

Would be even more amazing if they had dancing performances instead of just masturbation

jbater234 Is there any free content I can just try? Like adult stuff maybe brain dance, never used brain dance, or maybe there is something else. Just getting into this type of thing not knowing where to go.

Tried the braindance stuff and it is crazy how good it looks. Theres a future for this 100%

Pilky123 Volumetric is really the future, you know if you played with any braindance stuff or honestly anything volumetric at all with a hot chick in it. Yeah its really come a long way. I hope slr brings braindance or something like that in soon, been talking about volumetric video being "soon" for a few years now

So purchased the Demi Hawkes scene... here's my feedback:

This is awesome technology. To be able to resize the image and rotate to whatever angle is AMAZING.

It seems to download a scene, it goes to your headset, so that greatly limits usability. It would be nice if there is a way around this, like how you can watch your downloaded videos via Skybox (maybe I'll try to view this within Skybox).

The video is about a dozen short clips, so this is more of a test than content you are going to get off to. There doesn't even be a way to repeat the clips, so they play and go right to the next clip.

The video clips are pretty good video quality, but there is lagging.

If there is a way to access content like this thru SLR I would love it. If we have to download to the headset however, that would be a huge limitation.

But Last Video with Agatha Vega is in collaboration SLR? Any Chances can we see Braindance Video on SLR?!

Niteflyte like how you can watch your downloaded videos via Skybox

Probably none of the current VR players can play these videos properly, might look like this

ya the new video ones with 6dof is cool for sure.

I just recently came across the tech being promoted on a different porn site and wow, I am impressed just tried all of the scenes out. Definitely not for everyone given its more of a tech demo than anything right now, each individual scene within a scene is only 10-15 seconds at best but the scans are mostly fantastic and a huge peek into the future.
Depending on the point of view, you can sometimes see heavy artifact noise which is not ideal, but I am confident somebody will one day release an AI cleanup or enhance tool to clean all of that up if you dont improve your capture and render methods by then. There should be enough data on all of these where AI can go in and fill in gaps and smooth out "textures" per say. The novelty does wear out quick if you are note super nerdy and also enjoying these for appreciation of the tech and how far we have come.

I cant wait until we start getting some full blown scenes like this.

My one complaint so far is that they seem to have some sort of foveated rendering at play. I loaded the app directly on my headset using sidequest and I noticed that the scenes initially render out fully sharp and crisp but after a few seconds portions slightly further away from the headset render down to a much lower resolution.
I dont know but it seems like the software is compensating power usage by triangulating the distance of the headset to the subject and prioritizing areas immediately in front of the headset, which would be fine if there was actual eye tracking involved, without it its very annoying. Can you please ask if there is an option that could be added to either turn on or off this feature? I dont care about power draw when looking at these, I simply want to see the best resolution possible.

I have not tried this tethered to a PC yet using link, perhaps with a PC this is not present, but I doubt it, either way I want to be given the option to view these without any scaling down of the resolution please.

alphaRonaldo Thanks for sharing, I actually just supported this studio and looked at their content, although its not generally as high quality as braindance, the fact they have much longer scenes is pretty damn good, some of them are really good. Glad to support both of these teams
