  • Downloads plan revamp

The download restrictions make sense in terms of bandwidth and consumption.

I've purchased years of SLR subs and lifetime scripts, yet I can only download 3+3 monthly scripts. Trying to get more people streaming makes sense, but how is lifetime scripts only worth 3+3 script downloads?

mieldesalazar1987 I don't think we can provide more scripts downloads outside of pay per script option.

With SLR Miles High Club loyal customers should be getting extra.

Thank you for your communication on this. I'm probably one of the people you don't like as I signed up a few months ago and have downloaded pretty heavily since then. I am downloading because I signed up after getting an Apple Vision Pro and have to use that device. Downloading is really the only good user experience right now. I know you guys have been working on a WebXR solution, but it just isn't great yet, and no DeoVR app available either.

I really hope you guys keep working on getting SLR to be usable on a Vision Pro since frankly, I don't want to download the videos either. But here we are.

jdogfunk100 I may have missed this, but is anyone talking about just eliminating the 'full resolution' versions? Some of these files are over 80GB. So if bandwidth is a problem, start there.

80GB isn't huge these days - why would you want to reduce the quality when VR relies on having the highest quality possible for the best immersion?

starboi downloads are perfectly fine as long as you keep the sub going 👍

Can't wait to get AVP app up and running. That would be a gamechanger

SchnuppiLilac Do they have the same variety of content, for those lower prices...? Not having anything to compare against.

rerun119 it's an iOS-based app that will be released for Apple Vision Pro devices. Currently in works, we're excited about getting it up and running

Are you screwing with people that already purchased lifetime again? Which you've said wouldn't/shouldn't be reduced again multiple times? Or are you just talking about new lifetime subscribers?

I paid lifetime when it was up to 30 every 72 hours. You've halved that already, and now proposing it will be cut to 15% of what I paid for?

I really dont understand people getting upset on the download limit. As someone with a couple yearly subscriptions to different sites the only reason Im downloading scenes onto my computer or quest is if im planning on terminating my subcription but want to hold on to some favorite scenes. its completely unrealistic for me to be able to download and store even 50+ good quality 40-90 miunte videos on my computer without running out of space on top of all the other stuff I have on file. If I need to download that many videos from a single site like SLR bc I like those scenes soo much then why am I leaving in the 1st place outside of "i dont want to pay anymore". i find it hard to beleive just like some of the SLR people are saying that people really need that many downloads per month. If they can cut cost to push their tech stuff forward or towards better casting and directors thats a sacrifice im happy for them to make.

Spazzer26 I have a NAS server where I store hundreds of VR scenes from various sites. I use that NAS combined with another VR player I simply prefer over DeoVR. I stream the scenes from the NAS yo my headset. This combination works better for me than SLR streaming. It's fine that you are in a different situation and have another way of consuming content but we are not all alike.

On top of that I've just been a online porn consumer long enough (25+ years) to experience suddenly loosing access to favourite scenes I hadn't downloaded because of failed services, relicensing, sites redrawning from the service, etc.

So downloading is my solution and one of the many reasons I invested in a NAS server for my apartment.

The downloads per video limits make sense, and I have no issue with it.

Where I'm lost is why the download limit for scripts is ridiculously low. I've been a sub to SLR for years and bought lifetime scripts, and three a month is a joke, proper bait and switch. But despite being a loyal subscriber, it seems I'm the only one with an issue, so I guess I can go fuck myself.

Exactly, they have a great explanation for video caps, but none whatsoever for this. Users with perfect product loyalty who cause no bandwidth issues get shafted.

mieldesalazar1987 pay per script sounds like a perfect solution for these into downloads. No one can say we don't give options. Each product has plans.

This back and forth is no cool either
