...i think we all suffer from positive confirmation bias as we get older, when it comes to the perception of the younger generations. As a gen X'er i distinctly remember being told as a teenager that "we were all soft and didn't know what hardship was because we didn't have to grow up with food rationing"; that we were rotting our brains with television, and were selfish because we were always talking to our mates on the house phone all evening, and overly opinionated whenever we disagreed with our elders cos we'd just read something in a book or whatever.

i do think we can make a case that current media consumption crowds out book reading for everyone, from every generation, which unfortunately means even more young people grow up without actually ever reading a book, so that's gonna affect the ability to focus for long term, and children are indeed reading less than their peers did many decades ago. Additionally, there's the endless barrage of self-serving behaviours promoted on the internet, but i see that trend reflected in every group, from boomers to gen z, so that's not a generational qualifier.

There's some good quotes going down the ages here:

rerun119 I really liked that aspect where they always took feedback. But now they're nowhere in the VR space.
Not a single upload for VR on their webisite since mid september.
Could be they didn't find it profitable enough. Can only guess.

InfiniteFun There's some good quotes going down the ages here:

It's a natural tendency as every next generation builds on top of the legacy from the past gen that provided a "hard" foundation. Can't be otherwise

there's another force at work.....massive autism rise (not a good thing, though Hollyweird tries to portray it as good), food allergies, youth cancer/illness, "PTSD," drug use / deaths, suicides, "mindfulness" fad, massive increase in caffeine-consumption (Which means people are getting tired / brain fog more often). There's a new word for us - "Brain fog." Know when that came about?

Growing up as GenX - no such thing as Monster Energy, 5 Hour Energy, super charged Starbucks, etc...sure there was Jolt Cola - but that was an outlier / niche, Marijuana use, wine/beer consumption increase..and basically a pandora's box of ill effects....too many to list here.

Emotional weakness (as alluded to in article)...is just one sign of many.

Learning about brain waves (Every thought/emotion is an electrical impulse, no?) ...and what affects them..... IMAGE SEARCH: brain waves delta gamma beta

find some nice graphs....of brain waves. From calm to excited/restlessness. What energy around us could affect the waves in our body & mind?

Ask more questions.... QUESTION EVERYTHING Including the thing you might be holding in your hand. Which implies you are "smart" but really makes you "stupid."

...well SLR forum is not the place for a full deep on discussion about this....but thought I'd just drop a few thoughts.

lol that's the dumbest shit I read all week. Completely left field in a forum for little caprice. why would she turn off comments must be her brain waves. what a clown.

helaA610 Ignoring the wild theories, his point was that she has a low tolerance for critical feedback ("thin-skinned"), which isn't an outrageous take.

It must be weird coming from making 2d porn where everyone just happily gobbles up the content, to VR where they're dealing with hundreds of us critiquing scaling, angles, camera distance, vertical offset etc. It's an infinitely more technical endeavor and I'm sure it can be exhausting. I bet many studios who transitioned to VR see the audience as hyper-critical and tough to deal with. "Those fucking VR nerds are complaining again!" Meanwhile on onlyfans you can shoot with a phone and no one gives a shit.

SchnuppiLilac Honestly after seeing this, I can empathize better with her decision. What's not to love about a Dream show opportunity from her home country.
It's surely a loss for us, might be a temporary one at that. But super happy for her.

helaA610 EMOTIONAL PROBLEMS aka overly emotional sensitive. it's so normal, it's common. Thus my earlier link. Can't take even a little criticism...and so she hides all the comments. I was just being a little technical with the brain waves. Seeing as you didn't acknowledge any of the other thoughts...

there was a time when people had more of an "emotional backbone" -- most have never thought why. Nevermind even realizing this. Both a chemical & electrical issue.

I'll leave this...and end it at that. It's a huge blind spot. We're learning the hard way. The best effects are yet to come.

also look up a book - WOULD YOU PUT YOUR HEAD IN A MICROWAVE OVEN?

fun graph too...let me not explain it.

OR it could be it's more profitable to keep things on her own site....but that doesn't explain hiding the comments.
You can be "hot" or attractive on the outside but a wreck emotionally on the inside.

I'm reminded of Gabby Petito (sp?) ...attractive girl (and couple) on the outside...but we know the end of that story.
Just one story of thousands, no, millions....

We now return to our regularly scheduled programming.

Any chance of getting a Non-POV scene with you and your husband!!! I think many people here would love it!!!

vrtester you are not wrong. I have emailed the dude a few times and I dont know if its a euro porn star thing or something, or just a porn content creator thing, but they are so irritable and unless you kiss their asses every other sentence they get completely defensive and aggressive. They cannot take any constructive criticism whatsoever, maybe their looks and lifestyle has accustomed them to be told yes by everyone and only money matters, but they are some of the hardest people to communicate. I had a very similar experience with some new studio called berlin girls something. Producer is absolutely mental if you dont phrase everything with a please and thank you and if he doesnt agree with you he will tell you that you are only a couple of pennies to him. What a POS, I have instantly blocked all of his studios updates moving forward. Marcello was very much the same way. Even though they supposedly started shooting 8k, for some reason the content looked terrible, super HDR looking like they were using some weird Chinese camera that didnt actually support 8k, like a CALF or something that fakes the 8k, even though they probably did shoot with canon. Any criticism and they would instantly say they already fired the person for not having correct angle on camera during a specific position, im pretty sure the husband is doing everything behind the scenes. Anyways, that whole experience really left a bad taste for their content and its one of the reasons I dont like most independent creators on OF and other sites, they are super entitled and used to making bank on absolutely minimal effort and I refuse to support any of them, regardless of how little impact I might have. There are still some creators out there that put out some top notch high quality content that deserve my money instead.

I think it might be a porn and cultural thing.
I think Americans are thicker skinned when it comes to constructive criticism. We have 250 years of capitalism. It's make it or break it in America. Culturally we know it pays to listen to what others think. You need every advantage you can get in a dog eat dog world.
Eastern Europe has only been capitalistic for 35 years. Old cultural ways of I'm the boss so there for I'm the smartest person in the room don't just go away over night just because a government changes.

To be in the porn business, you probably need to have a high value of yourself to begin with. Narcissism I'm sure runs high in this field of work. Narcissist think very highly of themselves and really don't like being told they are wrong about anything. These kind of people are hard to get along with. They usually just keep a circle of yes men but they aren't true friends.

rerun119 that would make perfect sense, old world way of thinking "I'm better because I'm boss or richer than you" attitude mixed in with modern day western narcissism is the perfect cocktail to explain their attitudes for sure. Thanks for sharing that insight.
