Bugfix release for DeoVR app (scripts availability, Handy issues)
- Edited
Kieshi Sorry for the long delay - I've tried to install the meta quest PC link app on my pc, but I haven't gotten it to even install properly, despite several hours chatting with tech support there. I'll try sidequest next...
I did try all three release streams in the DeoVR app (13.19.1687, the opt-in one, and the beta one), after uninstalling all video apps on the quest, and then reinstalling DeoVR. All of those had the same issue.
update: sidequest didn't work either - apparently my computer is too old for the proper usb drivers to be installed (and apparently the quest 2 must be connected to a computer at least at first for sidequest to work). So I probably won't be able to get any logs to you? Unless there is another way?
Kieshi Let me try to clear up my problems. The UI on the April release version, when you set it to 1 for the distance, is 50% closer compared to the March release, which is a further way. On the March release, I could see the full UI without needing to move my head. Now, I only see about 70% of the UI in the April version.
@Kieshi the intermittent “red cross” and connection issue listed above is the ‘x’ icon and its associated to a handy timeout. I’ve seen them more frequently lately as well.
I haven’t nailed down a clean repo yet, but in settings turning off handy, unplugging it, turn back on in settings, plug back in, wait for green light to stop pulsing, then turning back on WiFi seems to resolve it.
A tale tale sign it’s going to happen again is pink light starts pulsing and doesn’t go solid within a few seconds of enabling it while in deo.
Also if you are in a scene and it says disconnected while loading the script, just start the workaround, it stays in a timeout loop and doesn’t recorrect itself.
For 3 days ago... yes. But the last time it disconnected a lot less compared to the day before. Havn't use it since then.
Hi there......I'm finding that after watching several videos with the Handy, after a while, it just stops loading any scripts and I no longer see the heatmaps. I'm on the latest DEOVR software version, using a quest 3 with the latest software on that too. It has been like this since the last software update. Is this a known issue? Thanks.
Mdambach10 could you please let me know if you can switch on script or choose one of the scripts from dropdown, but it just doesn't load to the Handy? Or you see no scripts available at all?
Thanks for getting back to me. I don't see any scripts at all. It just stops sending any script to the Handy, and I no longer see any heatmap. Closing the DEO app and going back in doesn't resolve it either. It seems to happen after flicking through a number of videos, and seems to resolve itself after rebooting the quest.
Hello. Having this same issue again right now. Restarts and reinstalls don’t work. Also latest software on Q3 and Deo. The handy is not the issue, as the scripts don’t show on the UI at all. Just request script button. Very new videos show scripts fine, any videos older than a couple of days will show script icon on thumbnails, but when playing the video, there is no script. Only a button that says request script.
Guys allofthe9 @Mdambach10 can you please submit tickets here: https://www.sexlikereal.com/pages/contact so we can continue doing the troubleshooting
PabloSLR I have logged a ticket, thank you.
This latest version helped with the UI centering problem a bit. The default view is now back to starting centered on the SLR page instead of centered on the address bar. So thanks.
Kieshi I just wanted to update you on something with scripts not playing for me as I discovered what was most likely causing my issues. after I open Deovr, I go back to the desktop and open a media player to play music, which in turn puts the media player in the foreground and puts Deo in the back. the video will still play but not the scripts. to correct this, I discovered that I have to go back and view my desktop to click on the active deo app to move it back to the front; the scripts just start working. I don't know if this was an intended design or a limitation of handy API, but the older version never did this.
