  • What can be learned from LA Production

What makes people get a subscription or what makes people keep their subscription?
Having the best scenes money can buy.
Most of the nonSLR scenes people can get somewhere else probably for cheaper and the other stuff is very poor quality.
So to me, SLR having great scenes is a huge part of what I care about. It's what made me join in the first place.
I really think SLR should spend the time and money on making better scenes. Give Nash a bigger budget, give him more time to really move the camera around. I mean we only get one regular scene a week now anyways.

I don't care that SLR is hiring new directors. It will take them almost a year to get ok at the angles and distances. At that point we are just then back to all the other big studios. If new people sign up and see a new directors crappy video then what will they think of SLR.

I think SLR should at the moment put all their chips in on Nash making bigger Nasherpieces. There really isn't any other choice at the moment.

            Vrsumo2017 Yeah i'd like it if they made a new scene with a similar premise, but use a more popular model. I think they never made another one because that one only got 2k likes which is pretty low for an SLRO, but i think the lack of star power and using a model with no hair wearing an iffy wig affected the view numbers just as much as the unusual premise.

                Vrsumo2017 Hehe it shows indeed how we're all different but that's no news. I ALWAYS skip through that stuff to the action part myself.

                  I never liked strip clubs because it feels so transactional to me. I want a girl to want me for me, not because I will give her money.
                  The same goes for those scenes. If there is an interview then it kills the illusion of her wanting to do it because she wants me. She is now just making porn. Because that is how I feel then I am going to assume everybody feels like I do and that is why it doesn't get a lot of likes. I'm just being sarcastic but I do thing some people feel the same.

                  @Vrsumo2017 have you watched any of the UpCloseVR scenes. They interview the girl before shooting the scene.
                  They have some pretty big stars and seem to have all the angles and distances ok. They don't get huge numbers though.
                  I like all of what you said about talking to us except I want them to talk to me like I am their boyfriend.

                      The two scenes sucked, mostly because the camera was too far away, just like it often was during J's Wankz days. Often, but not always. That's the frustrating thing about VR, directors keep winging it, without any kind of precise methodology or thorough pre-production testing so you never know from one scene to the next whether they're going to completely fuck up the camera distance or absolutely nail it. Really, nothing special here at all. A bubble machine! Yeah ok. I'd rather have good lighting.

                        rerun119 My comment was in regards to the "Breaking the 4th Wall" scene where the girl talks to you as the person wearing the headset instead of as the male talent. I think it was just shot in a normal house/bedroom

                            I KNEW IT.

                            I know it could be placebo (it might have happened before, but I just noticed it with LA Prod), but I knew something was going on while I watched the scenes. For the first time, I felt like everything lined up, and I even looked down at the male performer and thought, "yeah, it's me." I swear to God, I paused the latest video during the couch CG (when the guy is grabbing her by the waist) I lined up my arm and hand IRL, and then I tried to look with one eye through the space between the headset and my nose. I was blown away when I noticed that I matched the proportions and distance.

                            I'll rewatch all the videos tonight, knowing everything is fully and properly sized/aligned. Then, I'll state my final verdict, but they look GREAT so far.

                            Now, on to the not-so-positive stuff:

                            • It needs better lighting: some dark scenes CRUSH the mids and shadows, and everything looks too dark and weird. Either get better studio lighting or be careful with the dynamic range
                            • Go easy on compression: they all look compressed as hell. If you go to the Melody scene, to the first missionary action, and pause the video, you'll notice a lot of compression artifacts and color banding (especially on her belly and legs)

VRSpy has my head coming out of my nipples in seated positions and constantly cuts the models head off because of it. Really? In 2024? Other studios figured out that this is a cardinal sin YEARS ago. Close-up mish is similar - for Nash's angles to be real, I'd have to be like 9 feet tall.

                                    I think its because for sum reason he has the cam tilted downwards, I think aimed straight and try to get the cam back as possible so it's literally the guys head lol, would look better.

                                    I know all them different angle positions especially like Czechvr would do during laying cg are very popular, but in pt you can really see how some angles and camera heights just don't work well in pt. Imo anyways, from what I've seen. 🤷‍♂️

                                      Camera distances is such a weird thing to me because I often test the scenes with my Tantaly Big Asses and scenes where the distances are correct I see people complaining about it being 'too far away'. In other cases I see people praising the camera work and distances and then I test and the dick is in my navel when I get everything lined up.

                                      So I'm at a loss at times. I just don't get it. I can't figure out why I an average height dude (6 feet) can think 'this is perfect' and then some people say 'I feel like I'm a giant' and stunt cock is at my knees'.

                                      I've seen people say it's actually because they want to be close to the action and they don't care about 'realism' which is fine in the sense that whatever floats someone's boat isn't something I'll argue people 'out off'. Issue is that it's just not POV to me but something else.

                                      Some times I think it's a height issue. We are not all the same height and that of course means our perception of 'too close' and 'too far away' differ but then I watch those stunt cock in navel scenes and I'm thinking that can't be it.

                                      In any case I've found if I can't see the guy's nipples clearly then it's too close. It doesn't matter how far I bend my head my nipples and upper chest is always visible, so I expect to see them in a scenethat has 'correct distances'.
