raser1 ...thank you for looking into it. The Bluetooth name is 'LVS-Edge'...
DeoVR app release 13.18 (Autofocus, watch trailer, new BT haptics)
Hey @Kieshi first of all congrats on the huge patch! Second, unfortunately the note about:
"App crashes while playing script with PowerBlow/Keon fixed"
This is improved for sure, now instead of 20 min it lasts about 45 minutes but it's the exact same behavior/crash to the Quest 3 OS without an error. Just a short 1-2 second freeze and bam, back to the meta home screen.
The control improvements are most welcome. I was wondering for manual mode is there any where to set the speed for that? I can see the KEON will respect the range slider now, but saw nothing for speed.
since the newest update, there is no sound anymore??
SLR sample videos are showing up as completely green video for me. Audio is fine. DEOVR site is fine. Local content is fine. This is with a CV1 if that makes any difference.
InfiniteFun Hey that's strange. Are you sure that's the complete name? Usually it has some numbers at the end for the firmware version. That would explain why it doesn't find it.
raser1 ...unfortunately, that's all the name it gives me. Same with the phone, 'LVS-Edge'. It doesn't like to pair normally, you tell it to pair, it shows briefly as connected, then it's not connected any more. Same with the Q3, see's it, connects briefly, then isn't connected. And yeah, Heresphere can't see it either. But it connects to the Lovense remote app on the phone just fine. In fact, i've found advice on the LovenseFan site that purports that the machine can only connect via the app, which is worrying. However, on buttplug.io it's listed as full compatible with buttplug and x-toys, via Bluetooth.
i'm confused.
The device gets some quality reviews, so it's a pity it's being so reticent.
Any suggestions for an insertable vibrating plug that definitely does work with DeoVR? The Lelo Hugo 2 looks like a beast, i don't mind some expense, as long as i'm sure it's gonna work...
InfiniteFun How long ago did you purchase this toy? I have a feeling it's running a new type of firmware that we're not aware of. The HC/Deo app only connect to toys which have the firmware version in the Bluetooth name. There's a chance it could start working if we change it to accept toys without this number.
...literally the other day, so yeah, new firmware, new danger. (*sigh) If only one could check the Bluetooth status of sex toys without invalidating the return policy. i would be very appreciative if you could add this numberless firmware version next time there's a bug fix, though i'm slightly dubious now that it might have been incorporated into some kinda Lovense walled garden ecosystem. Let's hope not. Toys should be free. Anyway, i'm the guinea pig for this one.
Bit cheeky to ask, but do you know when you might be pushing out a bugfix or wtvr...?

kieshi: when i use re-center button: ui is too below; and now deo lag (reverb g2)
...went for something less complicated, same problem, this time a "Magic Motion, Solstice". Not the X version, i wanted simplicity. Hasn't worked, the device is showing up as 'Curve' under Bluetooth, visible as pairable by phone and Quest, yet hangs when asked to pair in standard Bluetooth. Invisible to DeoVR and HS. Probably another one you can ONLY use with an app.
*sigh, i really have the best luck with technology.
Could we have an (updatable) list / thread / etc with some provable compatible Bluetooth devices, if possible? Would make things simpler, i can just go buy one that works...

Kieshi
Recenter does not appear to recenter based on the positioning of the viewer. It just goes back to centering with the center line of sight pointed at the address bar.
When I drag to reposition the center line of sight, the plane of the UI distorts. I say "plane" but its more like a section of the interior of a sphere. So instead of the entire sphere rotating so that the 3d effect is still centered on the line of sight, the UI surface moves such that the 3d effect center point no longer coincides with the point of view. So the UI objects appear distorted somewhat like a trapezoid. If you drag such that your point of view is centered on the center of the UI, then the top of the UI looks closer, while the bottom looks further away. Plus you get perspective distortions like a funhouse mirror.
Below you can see the effect of dragging to place the point of view in the center of the video selection.
fuccaneer How do you drag the UI around? Mine is stuck at a 5% angle up to the right. Before 13.15 I could just hit recenter and it would go to whatever my angle of sight was in my headset. If I had my head at a 45% angle and then hit recenter then it would put the UI at a 45% angle to match. Now it does nothing. @Kieshi

InfiniteFun Hey I'm sorry to hear that. You're right, we don't support that toy at the moment. I have a feeling we can make your version of Lovense Edge working though, but we don't have one similar to test.
This is the current list of toys we support directly:
- Handy (Wi-Fi)
- TCode (OSR/SR6, USB and PC only)
- Kiiroo Keon
- Kiiroo Onyx+
- Kiiroo PowerBlow
- Kiiroo Pulse Solo Interactive
- Lovense Calor
- Lovense Edge
- Lovense Gush
- Lovense Hush
- Lovense Max 2
- Lovense Nora
- Vorze A10 Cyclone SA
- Vorze A10 Piston SA
And AutoBlow AI Ultra is coming soon.
I will check if we can make this list more visible and keep it up to date somewhere.

@fuccaneer @sylvan are you guys using SteamVR with SteamLink or Quest Link?
Also can you please check if OpenXR runtime is active in SteamVR settings?

Kieshi I'm having the same problems with the UI and lag (streaming from SLR is impossible with the lag and poor framerate at this point).
Running SteamVR with a Pimax 5k.
Under the OpenXR settings, it shows: Current OpenXR Runtime: SteamVR; Manage OpenXR API Layers 0 active; Meta Plugin Compatibility OFF. (I'd link a pic, but I have nowhere to host pics)
