Play'a app doesn't even come close to the functionality that DEOVR offers.
DeoVR is great for SLR.. but what to use on other sites?
My PC files, if I ever watch them lol I use skyboxvr.
I've always wanted to try Skybox, but does it have Passthrough integration yet?
obilisk2450 Not really. Skybox passthrough means only that the area around a 2D video or the UI can be made passthrough but not the video itself.

Since deo Vr is so much better than playa app is there a way to use deo Vr for vrporn.com?

Bobjeff1 I haven't looked at a VRB video since they went to Playa only (Heresphere no longer works) and the new version of Playa sucks. I only use one joystick on Q3 and so I can't do anything on Playa.
Yeah Playa app is kinda garbage, the controls are annoying, it always loads way more slowly or not at all, and if you download a video from the app, you can ONLY watch it in the app. Add that to some mildly annoying controls, and I really wish I could use DEO for VRP or VRB

The controls can be mapped, works great
I've noticed better streaming compared to years ago, and I never download videos anymore.
But over all they made some good updates, they need dome rotation tho.
One thing I mentioned before...I was hoping deo could look at playavr images color correction because Playavr images color correction works really great!
Idk, I thought they made good updates to it. After not using it for few years the upgraded were very noticeable, I hated that app back in the day, always loading, had no tilt zoom, now? Not to bad. 
I actually use it to check out trailers for vrb and transvrb, vrporn works on it but everything vrporn streams is pretty much on slr, so I rarely use vrporn.

Has anyone tried the new passthrough ai in the playa app? I assume it's similar to slr Ai passthrough but was wondering if anyone has tried it yet? Also seems like they only have a handful of videos in Ai as of now. I saw people say playa app sucked but was wondering if it's been upgraded?
AI Passthrough on Playa isn’t very good yet. You have to lower the resolution to 5k in order to use it.
However the videos that are shot specifically for Passthrough are quite good. Still not better than SLR though.
anyone here streams POVR/WankzVR using DeoVR? if yes, how? I tried some browser mode in DeoVR but it doesnt load properly

if you download a video from the app, you can ONLY watch it in the app
There's a way to get around this limitation in Play'A if you use it on your PC:
- Install Play'A on your PC from Steam and use it like a normal app, in a 2D window without using a headset.
- Find where the downloaded files live; by default it saves to
C:\Users\<Username>\AppData\LocalLow\.PlayaContent\CDM
but you can switch the starting file path in the app's General Settings (it'll make a .PlayaContent folder in the new location). - Open Play'A on your PC and download the video you want.
- After a video is downloaded, it'll appear in the CDM folder as an MP4 with an unreadable guid name. Move the MP4 to another folder and rename it to what you want.
- Delete the video from the download manager in Play'A after you move it and it'll get rid of the other non-MP4 files you no longer need.
It's certainly not the most streamlined method, but if you make a shortcut to the download folder and remember to move out the videos after downloading them, it's a workable way to save the videos so you don't need to use Play'A to watch them.
