DeoVR is great for SLR.. but what to use on other sites?

I use DeoVR for SLR, Realjam, Porncorn, Darkroom and Virtualtaboo. I use Playa for VRBangers network (VRConk, VRPorn and VRBangers) and Heresphere for POVR network, Badoink network, Naughty America and my downloaded XBVR content.

I use a Quest 3 mainly for porn. I have an AVP also but obviously it’s little pleasant gated community doesn’t like porn yet (other than downloads) so not much working on that front yet.

I have Playa, DeoVR and now Prism. Prism is kinda junk right now. It works well with BadoinkVR -or- VRCosplay, but you can only be logged into a single site at a time. It also doesn’t seem to support scene tagging/seeking consistently so when you load up a video, it’s mostly you just having to scroll around to find the part of the scene you want.

I have Playa for my VRBangers and WankzVR subs. Its gotten better over the years, mostly has scene tagging on one of those two (I think VRBangers, but it may have been WankzVR, don’t recall). It does seem to force me to re-authenticate my username/pass pretty frequently which is annoying.

I use DeoVR for SLR and honestly, the one handed ability to center the image on your junk and quickly zoon in/out or pivot image up/down is about as good as anything I’ve ever seen. It’s -one handed- operation is just want you want for this kinda stuff, especially in passthru. It’s clear DeoVR and SLR were made to exploit each others’ ability and I consider it best in class right now for website porn + VR + Scripts + Passthru integration. It’s enough that I have quit downloading scenes altogether…no more multi-terabyte drives full of porn for my poor family to find when I die of a heart attack someday. I’ve been pleasantly surprised to find that both VirtualTaboo and DarkroomVR both work well with DeoVR also. Not quite the same feature set, but the basics work well enough just as with SLR, minus the scene tagging/seeking. Nice to be able to watch those without downloading them first.

That’s all the subs I have, and I’d love it if DeoVR/SLR actually came out on top of all these and got WankzVR, BadoinkVR, etc to all work with their platform. But I’m guessing “porn standards” aren’t a thing yet. Until then, it’s a workable solution for streaming only right now.

I agree, dome rotation moves slow and steady, kinda like a smooth camera. Hopefully deo can tweak their "dome rotation with roll" to move smoothly.

Was annoying but I mapped my dome rotation to button A, works better like that, they outta switch ot to that button by default.

I'd admit hs is pretty cool, the picture is great but idk bro it's just something that don't keep me going back as my main choice for a player, I've looked at same videos on hs and deo to compare I see a slight bump in quality but it's not that much for me to switch my main player.

I've tried it with my PC too, streaming from my PC.. hs again...it works great, I've seen users say they can make their own tags and list, but I still prefer skybox, oh hs kinda takes longer to load into my PC but skybox load faster

Hs does have good quality picture, smoother dome rotation, the pass through works after you take time to learn it just like any other app but it still don't draw me in on consistent basis, idk it's weird right?

Literally I used it last week after like a few months of not using it, push play on a pt vid and said damn this does look good

Used for a few videos trying figure out what's different and it's the 6dof with dome rotation and zoom availability and the smoothness of the dome rotation, thoes were the only things I could find that had me thinking damn we need this on deo, oh and better sharpness slider, I rarely use it but others seem to really like hs sharpness slider.

But still, after a few vids and few days I just end up back on deo for streaming.

arsonx1999x It's interesting, because I just cancelled my longtime POVR subscription because of this issue. Even with the Playa'd app, it was just too difficult to browse content. One of the most annoying things is that you can't favorite content for downloading later. Another is that you can't search the POVR content through the Playa app.

Play'a app doesn't even come close to the functionality that DEOVR offers.

I've always wanted to try Skybox, but does it have Passthrough integration yet?

obilisk2450 Not really. Skybox passthrough means only that the area around a 2D video or the UI can be made passthrough but not the video itself.

Since deo Vr is so much better than playa app is there a way to use deo Vr for vrporn.com?

Yeah Playa app is kinda garbage, the controls are annoying, it always loads way more slowly or not at all, and if you download a video from the app, you can ONLY watch it in the app. Add that to some mildly annoying controls, and I really wish I could use DEO for VRP or VRB

I've noticed better streaming compared to years ago, and I never download videos anymore.

But over all they made some good updates, they need dome rotation tho.

One thing I mentioned before...I was hoping deo could look at playavr images color correction because Playavr images color correction works really great!

Idk, I thought they made good updates to it. After not using it for few years the upgraded were very noticeable, I hated that app back in the day, always loading, had no tilt zoom, now? Not to bad.

I actually use it to check out trailers for vrb and transvrb, vrporn works on it but everything vrporn streams is pretty much on slr, so I rarely use vrporn.
