Sounds like it might have been an overly optimistic estimate but there's still at least a couple of weeks to go so let's see.

    Can you please restore the links to the downloads for premium? I was able to download and watch these on my vision pro using other apps, but with those links now removed, I can't watch them at all in 3d.

    The web views are extremely buggy now as well, even with full settings enabled for safari.

    Also I'd love to get the test flight info for deovr, not sure if they gonna share this or not, but I did ask in their forums as well.

    As for those demo videos, they cant be played properly in the vision pro, maybe with a link or something it would work.

    These links work, however they don't parse the stereoscopic view and play in the browser, so you can't download them to device either to try with a third party player.

    For anyone wondering about seeing videos in passthrough, I’ve found a patchy way to view them for the time being.

    Here is what I Was able to figure out

    • Download video, if the video has an alpha Channel or black background even better. Otherwise you might need to run it through any software you can find that removes background. There are plenty of ai tools out there where this is pretty much automated.

    • in my case I used the old slr desktop app in conjunction with ALVR to run SteamVR so all pass through videos automatically show the black background without any post work required. For now and probably the easiest method is to do removal yourself and use moon player on the Vision Pro

    • once you start to play the video use the gaze drop-down that pulls up the small menu for apps, environments, control center and notifications. I recommend you look opposite the direction the main focus will be in the video so the menu isn’t on top of what you’re looking at. What will happen is any black background will go transparent and you’ll start to see your surroundings. From the small test I tried out, any color in the scene will come through and it will look like a normal passthrough video.

    there are a few caveats to this

    • you loose the ability to stop, start, or jump around the video while the drop down is active

    • transparency is applied to the entire video, it’s surprisingly not that noticeable but could see if you’re in a bright environment this becomes an issue

    • if the background is black, it does dim your surroundings, this did actually add a nice blend into the pass through but might not be wanted in all scenarios

    • the ALVR method I used does require a bit of setup, you need the TestFlight build for the Vision Pro and use the nightly version of ALVR for desktop along with steam installed. I just so happened to have the old SLR app on my desktop and saw that this no longer has support / updates. There may be a better path here but this is what I had and used along with some tests using moon player on the Vision Pro.

    This is all very patchy until we start seeing an actual app or breakthroughs on the WebXR side coming from the SexLikeReal team but does at least give us a pretty good glimpse into what we could see with pass through.

    To view this video, you must be logged in to your SLR account.

    Due to limitations on Apple's side, we advise that you change the quality of the video outside of VR Mode:

    First, open the video (it will open in immersive)
    Exit immersive mode
    Then change resolution
    Then enter Immersive mode again.

    The resolution of this video is 8000x4000 - it is 8k, but you'll see the figure 4000p because we display the height parameter.

      Kieshi I've tried the steps using AVP and had the following experience:

      Opened the video (yes it did open in immersive).
      Exited immersive mode
      Changed the resolution to 4000p
      However, when I play the video it there is no prompt to allow me to re-enter immersive mode again. The video displays flat.

          phyuggene Hey now, we just want high quality for now, if they can deliver that while they work on the app I can’t complain 🤷🏻‍♂️

            Kieshi I can confirm that this works. The only problem is the colors are extremely washed out.

                b_swagg So when you exit immersive mode fro the first time, you do not have the button on player UI to enter it again?

                    Jjhooke69 can you check once again about the colours today? We have passed on an update yesterday evening to adapt colour settings.

                    Also, we have added settings panel to the player, so you should be able to play a bit with correcting colour yourself.

                        Kieshi colors are better, the scene just seems to be a little blurred still at both 6 and 8k. Just doesn’t feel even close to what it is when it’s downloaded if that makes sense. Sorry it’s hard to explain.

                            Kieshi Yeah that has been my experience. Those prompts to enter immersive dont show up again.

                              Jjhooke69 Yes, same thing here, quality is still nowhere where it should be, my Q3 looks way better than my AVP. Like @Jjhooke69 says, when you download and play with moonplayer it's a huge difference in quality. It's definitely not just a matter of resolution. Looks more like it's rendered in a too low color mode or something like that.

                                DannyF Yeah it doesn't look good. But I'm sure it will get fixed. When downloaded, you can play with 3rd party apps like moonplayer and then the video's look awesome, actually better than on the Quest3, because the AVP obviously has higher resolution panels and OLED colors. But the HUGE downside at the moment is that there's no way to activate passthrough, not even for downloaded video's. So until that works, the Quest3 clearly is the winner for porn.

                                The only way you could get passthrough I guess is through ALVR. Haven't tried it yet but not expecting much of it because I hate compression. But will give it a try soon.

                                  harigeharry we have added settings to the player, so you can try to play a bit with image and see if it helps
                                  But the team is still experimenting with this, we have passed on a small update yesterday, which should make the quality better
