Ugh and now its gotten even worse. It is completely unplayable using quest air link, but it was somewhat playable using virtual desktop. However yesterday and today the videos are playing at the same framerate (pretty bad, but playable) but now they are pixelating to hell and unwatchable. Come on SLR....

ThorOfAsgard hi, could you please use instructions from my colleague above and send the logs? It would help us a lot

Kieshi I'll try to figure that out, but have you guys tried rolling back to a previous version of deovr? As i said before this problem started right after updating to the latest version in early december. I find it strange that your devs cant reproduce it but all of us are experiencing it. I just ordered a 4070 Ti Super that will be here in a few days and ill see how that goes.

Or better yet how can I get a version older than december? Thats the best test i can do for you to prove it was that update.

DeoVR is definitely not performing very well.... For me the frame rate for streaming is appalling but has never been the best, but also lag when browsing is a problem - Quest 2

As a downloader these are not major issues, but even as someone who likes to check the scene out before downloading can't tell if it's decent quality due to the stuttering frame rate.

Silly-Sausage hi! I would appreciate if you could send me logs from when you start having lags, we are working on the fix, but the more information we have the better

I can only put it on a time frame, for me DeoVR frame rate has always been the worst out of all players, but over the last 2 months has been very poor. The frame rate is very choppy, no other player has these issues, sorry

Having the same frame rate issue on Quest 2 when streaming, it feels more like 30fps despite trying all options. All other players are a smooth 60fps.

Before it was bad but using virtual desktop it was manageable. Now it just pixelates while it plays and as such unusable. We should get time credited during this time of it being unusable. I'd still like to know (or better be able to download) a version of deovr prior to these issues. It started immediately after downloading the update in early december. That seems like the most obvious cause.

I also have what feels like low frame rates. The bigger problem I'm having over the last week is that I can't stream the higher frame rates at all now. Anything over 2880 lags very bad (pauses and buffers) on the Quest 2. My internet speed test on the computer is very fast everytime.

Is anybody else having this problem? I don't want to go back to downloaded everything again.

Hey guys, we're talking about 2 different things here now, one where we have low framerates and the other where the DeoVR app becomes unusable after a while. For non-Quest devices, the team is currently working on understanding what is happening from the logs we received from some users, so we expect a fix once they get to the bottom of this, as for Quest 2 devices having issues with the low framerate, I suggest performing the following:

        • remove the DeoVR app from your headset
        • clear app cache and data from the headset
        • restart the headset
        • download and install the DeoVR app
        • if the app opens, type www.sexlikereal.com in the address bar of the app
        • try to log in with your SLR credentials

Also worth mentioning is if you haven't opened up a support ticket, please do so by following this link.

Thanks again for your cooperation on this, we really appreciate it!

Signed up just to mention I also have the issues with deovr as mentioned by others after the update.
Using a HP Reverb G2 though.
The experience is like pre installed h265 codec

It is hard to imagine the dev can’t replicate the issues without a users log. We all seem to suffer.
I agree we would benefit from being set back to pre update.

It takes too long to receive a solution. Although all meant well, the communication is lacking the support a customer requires to feel comfortable, especially after 1 month of malfunctioning.

[deleted] I would really appreciate a direct answer to has your team looked into the deovr update in early december where these issues started immediately after i updated that last update? I'd like to test out the version prior to that.

ThorOfAsgard deovr is getting through significant code upgrade. You can expect more stable releases and things being fixed from the past

ThorOfAsgard Like @doublevr said, the app is going through a major code overhaul. The problem with them issue you're experiencing is that is not easy to replicate at all, which is why any sort of logs would help the team understand what is happening here.

As I previously asked, if you can provide us with the logs from your headset after the issue happened, that would be amazing. Some users already sent over them and the team found them quite useful.

As for providing the previous version of the app, I'm afraid that this is not doable at the moment but I will check with the team and put this as a potential feature request.

Also if doable, can you all check if you maybe changed the Sharpness setting values from 0 to any other number? Changing this number can cause a significant drop in FPS performance. So make sure to change this setting shown in the screenshot below back to 0.

Let me know if this helped any of the affected with the FPS issue.

Just got my 4070 Ti Super (upgraded from 1080 Ti) and there is no real change in deovr. Playing 8k videos locally in heresphere is so much better though.

            4 days later

ThorOfAsgard Hey, not sure but you somehow skipped the last post about sharpness and other settings. Can you please confirm if these settings are default or not? If they are not, do they significantly impact the performance? Also, without providing us with any sort of logs from your device it's very hard to pinpoint the issue.

Do I understand it right SLR considers the problems with deovr after the update are local? Or does SLR agree the problems in deovr are functional and caused by the update?

            Thanks for clarifying in advance.
