Still not fixed. How long will this take?
What's wrong with deovr?
[deleted]
ThorOfAsgard Still waiting, I expect an update from the team to be posted on the forum once this is resolved.
I have a pretty powerful setup and its basically unusable for the first time in 2 years. Its completely unusable through SteamVR after the update unfortunately. I'm still able to stream videos on a PC monitor through a web browser (2D) no issues. Happy to wait, but any update from a dev?
I am also still waiting they fix this ! It took too too long ...

Sorry guys for the long wait, we just need some additional patience until the developers and the QA team are sure that there are no issues whatsoever before the release of the new version.
same problem here, using oculus rift s, gpu rtx 2070, with DeoVR App. after a few minutes of streaming framerate begins to drop. DeoVR becomes slow. its been like that since last week. before that everything was fine. please help, thanks
Damankogel38 DeoVR team is going through a leadership boost. They expect strong engineers to join the team and lead the effort

Finally had an update yet it still isnt fixed. Its been a long time that it doesnt work well. It'd be nice if we didnt have to rely on 1 application.

ThorOfAsgard Hey, can you please advise if you're experiencing exactly the same issues as you described in the original post?
I was looking forward to the update, but no change for me either, still DeoVR App becomes very slow after 3-5min of streaming. vr video playback has less than 10 fps. not watchable or enjoyable anymore.
Same, I don't have the stats but my picture starts out fine and then gets very slow/powerpointy. I hope this isn't some ploy to get me/us to upgrade to Meta Quest 3. I bet passthrough is way better for MQ3 but I'm still willing to watch full-color passthrough women on top of incongruous b/w backgrounds for quite a while, given what I've paid so far lol

Hey guys, I am passing this information to the developers but based on their feedback it is hard to replicate the issue from their end, but they are working on it though (this means the issue is still present in the v13.14).
As for TG31415 and Damankogel38 , can you please send us the graphic card models that you are using?
Also, if any of you can send us logs from the device, video examples where this is happening (resolution, codec used), anything that will help us replicate this issue it would be very much appreciated!
[deleted] Yes, exactly the same. When i move my head around the whole image window tries to follow and its jittery as hell. And if this helps when i press the oculus right hand controller menu button where it shows the app you're running the app window is transparent. Any other app the window is not transparent.
[deleted] Well as for the stuff you asked for (logs, video examples) im not sure how/what logs to get you. Not sure what you mean by video examples. As for resolution and codec the resolution is whatever the quest 3 is, and the codec is the microsoft one (windows 10). GPU is 1080ti. I'm going to try and get a 4070 ti super in a few days when they release, maybe the enhanced power will help, but i doubt it with the transparent app window.

Are you sure its the quest 3 update and not an update from deovr itself that messed things up? I think thats more likely since there are people here having issues with other headsets. And as i said in my original post when the problem started was after deovr did an update. In the few days since i had used deovr (where it was working normal at that time) my quest 3 had no update, but when i opened deovr it had an update and THAT is when the problems started. So yeah, it seems an update to deovr messed things up. Try rolling back a couple updates.
Is it possible for me to install an older version? If not you should make that ability open.
I'm using DeoVR App on intel Core i7 9th Gen, RTX2070, Win10, Oculus Rift S.
you mentioned logs from the device, for which device? oculus rift s? What kind of logs? where can I get these logs? As for video examples, any video on SLR after 2 minutes of playback has the mentioned issue. I use default streaming resolution (4K or 5K), I don't change them, with h265 codec. I switched to h264 codec, It's even worse.
ThorofAsgard said it well: "When i move my head around the whole image window tries to follow and its jittery as hell". and there are a lot decoding artifacts like square blocks and pixels.
by the way, I alos tried download videos and play them with DeoVR, same issue when palying local downloaded file.
[deleted] Hi! I have also been able to reproduce the error. I will send you a couple of logs, one from today (20th January) and another one from the previous time I used the glasses and experienced the same issue (7th January). I am sending them yo you by private message.
I think you will find them useful, as I can see exception traces there that I guess it might help you to find the root cause.

Damankogel38 Can you follow this guide for the collecting logs part? Also, Ryosuke1976 sent us over two logs that I have sent over to the devs so hopefully they fill find them useful trying to uncover what is happening here.
