OliverDK swear that I often think they do it all for themselves and VR is just a way to fund their 'fun' than it is to produce a great product for the viewer.
This is exactly why I can't watch shit like Tadpole. It's clearly just a bunch of old fat rich guys that wanted to fuck young pornstars and it borders on uncomfortable.
On the other side of the coin, there's stuff like PSPorn where it's obviously just Paula Shy, her partner, and her friends. That can be a bit limiting but at least I know they're actually enjoying themselves. They're also finding their own niche with the car/hitchhiker stuff. It's still a formula but at least it's a new formula.
OliverDK But again we are often stuck with studios that simply just prefer producing the same shit over and over and get less that 200 likes on their content.
I don't disagree but I was mostly referring to the larger studios, the ones that should have the resources and the breathing room to take some risks. VRBangers has six different sites in their network, all shooting the same exact way. Badoink is quite literally making the same exact scene over and over. POVR/Wankz scenes are good but could be made with an AI at this point. Even this site, the "innovators", aren't really bringing anything new to the table in terms of actual concepts and they seem to have an adversarial relationship with their customers anyway. Even if you think passthrough is mindblowing, all of the passthrough scenes are the same.
I think we're stuck in a holding pattern until the OnlyFans girls start creating VR. I think it's going to be a blow to "mainstream" VR but it'll be a necessary shift. Even Youtubers doing SFW content is going to help move things forward, I'd bet.
