IbegU2Die I feel, even after 6 years time doing VR porn, its still the same. Nothing is learned, small changes here and there, yes, but overall, its the same as it was 6 years ago.
Even though I don't seem to have the same tastes as you, I do agree that there is a "sameness" to it all and that can make it seem boring. In other words, the novelty wears off and it's not as exciting. And that seems to apply to almost anything sexual. Imagine living 150 years ago and being monogamous in most countries. No porn and very little chance to experience anything sexually stimulating outside your own relationship. I'm glad I wasn't around back then.
Even when I was a young adult, porn wasn't easy to obtain discretly. You had to go to a store and buy or rent it from a real person. And it wasn't as easy to experience IRL casual sex as it is now -- no Tinder and no websites with sex workers offering their services.
I guess my point is that even though we have unprecented easy access to new, varied, and novel sexual experiences, we still want more novelty. I know I do. But at some point, both in porn and in real life, we seem to run into feeling like we've experienced everything that can be experienced.
Doesn't this raise issues on two fronts? First, how do we, the "bored" people, deal with this? Do we seek out ever more novel experiences or do we attempt to adjust our expectations? Or both? Second, how do those producing porn respond to the demand that is created? I sure don't know the answer to this second question, which, at the core, is what your post is about, i.e., how should SLR address its users' desire for new and novel experience?
I've been a member here for several years now, and I can see that SLR is trying. Maybe not the way you want and maybe not the way I want, but they are trying. Probably more than most VR porn sites.
And I find myself wonder what the next big thrill is.
For the last few years, I've been focusing on making my use of VR porn to as closely as recreate the experience of real sex --Sex Like Real. I think that's what SLR has been working on as well. Pass through, at its best, can make it seem like the girl is right in the room with you. Haptics make it so you can feel something that suggests the action is being performed on the viewer. Developing phantom sense, hypnosis, and recreational substances can increase the feeling the experience is real.
Well, I feel like I'm rambling and going off on multiple tangents and I got stuff I need to get done . . . please excuse the incomplete thoughts . . .
