Just wanted to say new AI PT scenes are incredible as an avid PT user. Didn’t really know what to expect but can tell as the tech and selection becomes better it will get even more immersive. You can even shoot scenes with this AI PT in mind to get the best AI bg removal. Can you also run some of your native PT alpha scenes thru the AI so we can see true PT without male talent? That will be next level imo, the slower BJ scenes without any hands (from male or female talent) was super immersive. Zoomed out mish with the 6DOF was also insanely immersive. Doggy looked good too surprisingly. Just goes to show when you get the doggy angle right PT doggy can be amazing. When can we expect another batch of AI PT scenes will they be scaling to all SLR originals? How will that work can we make suggestions please?

    Guenthalg I agree with just about everything you said. @doublevr seems to be the one spearheading this project - hopefully he sees your post.

      The reason AI PT is not great (sorry, but let's be real here) is AI rotoscoping for regular videos is a massive challenge which no one, even large corporations will huge R&D budgets, has yet solved. If SLR were to solve AI rotoscoping for VR then by default they've solved it for 2d video production and honestly that technology might be worth more than their entire VR business. Solve this and every video editor / VFX / post production house would want to license the tech. It would be an astonishing breakthrough. So for those of use wanting the same level of masking as green screen, the likelihood is we'll just have to wait until good AI rotoscoping is actually an option out there in real world post production because currently it's not.

        I wanted to give you a brief update on our Beta testing phase. Currently, our focus is on assessing various technical aspects, including the delivery protocol, network performance, and streaming stability. These foundational elements are crucial for ensuring a seamless user experience.

        I'm pleased to report significant advancements in our algorithm since our last iteration. We've made notable improvements in mask quality, frame rate, and overall smoothness. We're planning to roll out these enhancements at the start of next week.

        Following this update, our next step is to expand our testing scope by generating an additional 100 to 1,000 scenes.

              vrpicasso Yeah being realistic SLR doesn't have the calibre of engineering talent (no offence) to deliver a genuine state-of-the-art tech breakthrough. PT fans are going to be waiting a while for good AI PT.

                As an aside, with the full body PT videos, has any thought been given to the use of colored condoms to try and make the male talent dissappear completely? Is SLR going to continue making FB PT videos?

                        harigeharry I whole heartedly agree. Even with the imperfections, the immersiveness is off the chart. I still wonder what they could do with colored condoms in a full body PT scene, though.

                            Colored condoms would not work. You'd create a fuzzy dick hole which is just going to look weird and will never match up to the user's dick, which, btw, is either covered by a Handy or by the user's hand. Plus dick is usually in shadow so you can't even key it - green screen is lit. I keep seeing calls for keyed-out dicks but I don't think these guys have really thought it through, it would be a terrible idea. Really, really terrible. Maybe do it once, to prove how shit it is, but don't use a model the rest of us want to see filmed properly.

                              vrpicasso lol you need to get with the times bud. It's already being done with the AI PT NonPOV setting. And it's showing awesome potential.

                                  I'm on Quest 2 and at times in a dark room astounded by the technology especially the Alpha Passthrough scenes.

                                  If i was a youth again i don't think i would leave my bedroom without the imprints of my headset and that flushed look of enjoying my favourite girls.

                                    Q3 pass through is miles better than Q2. That being said, still has much to improve. It doesn’t really look that clear, even in bright rooms—still pretty grainy, and the passthrough videos themselves aren’t really there either in terms of the way they are shot and making it immersive. It’s a cool effect but it’s not “omg game changing”. If it was people wouldn’t even care about regular normal vr porn anymore.
