SchnuppiLilac There is no misuse

I like this part of your response.

SchnuppiLilac to pay out the rebate in the second month

I'd probably stop subscribing to SLR if they did this. I'd recommend a price of $19.00, ignoring this one-month only / subscription tier, just with a reduced download limit of half of the regular content and more downloads of SLR Originals productions. That would make the most sense, since SLR doesn't have to pay royalties on their own productions and bandwidth costs would be under the subscription fee. I'd also recommend that they enhance the reliability of their servers, since more than 50% of downloads are corrupted and need to be re-downloaded. Their competition, POVR, is more reliable in this respect, and they can offer unlimited downloads since they know how to limit users to one download at a time.

    [deleted] To be fair, when I still downloaded using a browser I had trouble with all VR sites, either downloads breaking up and not resumable or slow speeds. This all ended when I started using a download manager. You should try, saves you a lot of trouble.

      doublevr yeah but the painful part is paying for a year right before lifetime. Low expectations but can there be anything done about that where I can just pay the difference or am I out of luck pretty much

        doublevr Very reasonable. We want to make things work for everyone and have our users happy.

        doublevr We can have an upgrade 50 downloads for $19.99 with no expiration for the time of active premium.

        That's reasonable for you?!?! Ok then... 🤣

        I can get a monthly sub on NA and download like 3000 scenes for less than 20 bucks.

        And ... 🥁 ... they are much longer in the business than SLR... 💣

          I use a download manager. Unfortunately Internet Download Manager (IDM) requires a separate subscription, and it's the only download manager that is effective with SLR-converted content. With IDM there are fragmentation artifacts every two to three minutes, instead of large portions of missing content (Free Download Manager) or frozen downloads that cannot be restarted (Xtreme download manager).

          IDM allows users to download multiple files at once and potentially download the maximum from SLR without much hassle. POVR has a system that doesn't disconnect users based on time (you see the time-based, IP cookies SLR adds to their download links), rather they monitor users based on connection attempts and intensity (users cannot download multiple files at obce, so they can offer unlimited downloads).

          @doublevr

          You may want to reduce the download limit, but what you really need is a reduction in speed for heavy downloaders. With a slow connection of 2 MPS it woud be difficult for anyone to reach the SLR download limit. Many users have connection speeds of 20 MPS. One solution might be to limit download speeds after a certain number of downloads have been reached. If the user can afford to have a 20 MPS connection, they can pay extra for additional downloads.

          @SchnuppiLilac

          A significant number of films were broken due to a blurred lens. Every single film uploaded by the company behind BaberoticaVR, including their new studio, is unwatchable either due to a blurred lens or a faulty compression algorithm.

          Hairsational it's the stupid people that are also loud as fuck.

          You better spend some time figuring things out before bringing your nonsense all over the place

            there is that one lil thing...if you haven't jerked off to the clip more than once or at all? no need to download it

            typically know within 90seconds if there are any whackable moments

            extra storage space going to help, but still need to the whackable moments regardless.

            doublevr users misusing recurring monthly sub instead of going non-recurring monthly

            Another way of looking at this is a feature for individuals who pay to avoid the hassle of cancelling a service. Many companies have an equivalent tier.

            [deleted] these shouldn't not be by algorithms, but I've asked the team to look into it.

            Would be really appreciated to come up with a dedicated thread and post all the samples. We really want to find out what's going on there

            If it's just focus then it's a camera matter. Having one lens out of focus is a typical issue with many cameras

              I'm a little confused, are you thinking of reducing the download limit for any new subscription?

              Or are you introducing a new "lite" cheaper tier subscription that has a reduced downloads limit and still keeping the regular priced tier with 30 downloads per 6 days?

              In some videos the left lens looks blurred, and in others it's the right lens. The effect of blurring from a VR180 camera looks diffrerent from what you're seeing here, in that typically the blur effect is limited to one part of the lens. Additionally, the blur effect on the one side is not counterbalanced by a sharpening effect on the other side, as seen in the Baberotica films.

              Here's where due to blurring a film really needs to be re-shot. Here we have superb lighting, direction, and acting all ruined by a blurred lens.

              Back to my point, though, a lower priced tier makes sense, especially one at the same price as POVR, provided that SLR can process payments in the same way to accept giftcards. Times have been made intentionally challenging for large groups of people. A $10.00 tier for either streaming only or 30 downloads over the course of a month would be appealing. You could make it one video a day and there would be many days where the subscriber will be too busy to download anything, so that subscription plan would be financially feasible.

              Nevertheless, the current plans make sense even if individuals don't subscribe every month. I can only offer the perspective of someone who has returned to SLR for several subscriptions. There are months where I download very little, and other ones, like this one directly coinciding with my purchase of a Quest 3, that I download more than usual. The profit will likely balance out in the end.

              As feedback, I prefer SLR over POVR since the site is less sleazy and allows for downloads of the 'original' files. However, SLR's casting as of late has been very poor, or at least not according to my tastes. The women you cast don't have to be young or anorexically thin, but their tattoos, if any, should be tasteful, and the plastic surgery, if any, also tasteful.
