I recently upgraded to a Pico 4 and I have to say that it's been great, especially wireless.

I kind of shrugged off the idea of passthrough initially thinking it wouldn't add much but now that I had the chance to try it I did and I was blown away, especially with the recent SLR alpha scenes. It makes things 10x more immersive.

I just wanted to see if more people also had my experience and were blown away like I was. It was almost like trying out VR porn for the first time in 2016-2017, that wow factor. Can't wait to see more scenes released like this.

Also please SLR, we need more voluptuous and big chested MILFs! Bless.

infernohammer it has loads of potential. Unfortunately im not a fan of pov stuff, id like to see some solo videos or voyeur stuff to cater for those of us that want something different. the quest 3 performs really well, im certainly impressed.

infernohammer 100% Although I ended up getting a quest 3 after only ever having experienced "AR" on the original Quest 1 with those horrible black and white cameras. It's very impressive but I was a bit spoiled by creating my own AR prior to this. I have quite a bit of footage from my old K2 pro and was able to render out some of their first PT greenscreen scenes shot on the K2 pro with my own background footage shot on the same camera and watch it on my pimax 5k headset. Which you will realize is the absolute best clarity you could probably get at this point. So I have seen peeks at what the ultimate goal is by having some truly impressive cameras with equal quality as the PT video footage. The quest 3 has good cameras but they suffer heavily in low light areas, not sure how this compares to the pico 4 but im guessing its probably similar. But when you are in a well lit area or better yet, outside, boy does it look great. The 8K PT SLR scenes look incredible and if you position your body and head correctly the effect is breathtaking at times. I'm still a bigger fan of DeoVR letting us inject our own custom backgrounds on these videos instead of using the current PT cameras, so whenever that update comes I will be making my own custom backgrounds shooting with the exact same canon system they now use and will watch these again on my pimax headset for the ultimate "PT" experience. One criticism I will say is that not even the alpha scenes are a clean around the edges as I would have liked to see given the advantages of alpha vs greenscreen, if you pay attention the edges can often still be a little distracting. Nothing major but I hope they can continue to finetune this even more for cleaner results.

This is actually a potentially very good use of Passthrough - regular porn non pov style scenes to provide you views that you may not be able to see in typical pov scenes, no viewable more immersively right in front of you in your room

metichemsi The Pico 4 has color passthrough but it is in mono. I haven't tried Quest 3 but I know the passthrough is a bit better. The mono doesn't bother me at the moment, things weirdly still look kinda 3D for me which I think makes sense because the passthrough is pseduo-3D but not quite. And yes the Pico 4 passthrough only will look decent in a well lit room. The Lily Lou PT scene was the one that really did it for me, truly incredible.

Hell yeah right? Her face to face laying cg is one of the best imo, just love looking into her eyes and looking at her lips as she talks and smiles 👍

Incase yall dont know this i been getting it out there but turn on the dome rotation with roll in the player setting and make sure your 6dof is off, dome with roll works wonders for pt!

Insted of just moving the screen left or right you pretty much can put the model how you want. Liner her up Real nice.

Holding both triggers and moving your hand is how you use this.

I mapped my dome rotation to button A, it's easier.

infernohammer Oh thats right, I forgot the pico is in mono. Well if you are happy with it so far it definitely wont make sense to upgrade to a quest 3. What I would recommend is that you visit a local bestbuy to checkout a floor sample where you can try it out and see what all the hype is about, at least to get a better idea of how it truly compares to the pico in your opinion.

At this rate, the improvements the quest 3 had being the next device after the quest pro release makes me feel confident that these improvements will continue to be significant from one quest generation to the next and to simply ignore whatever prosumer product quest releases in between. I'm excited for the next quest now if they can simply increase the FOV more and give us at least dual 8mp color cameras in the front.

infernohammer That makes more and more sense then. Yea, that quest 4 or whatever comes out by then should be another good opportunity then to see if it makes sense to switch headsets.

Same here. Got a Quest 3 and the Pass Through stuff just blows me away. About as close as it comes to having someone in your room.

Yeah, I love it too on the quest 3. Can't wait for more passthrough vids.

Hope they will start shooting with fewer positions in a scene though and positions that work well in passthrough. But I'm sure it will only keep getting better.

yep, quest 3 passthrough is the only reason im happy with upgrading, tons of potential, just hoping the guys making the content realise that position changes are a destroyer of passthrough scenes, and that stripping, JOI, twerking, is the kind of content they really should be aiming to make right now as that stuff would be perfect,

also vredging should make some passthrough, thats pretty much the dude just laying there, that should work well

I don't mind the stripping, joi, etc. but I think that if you should regular stuff without to many position changes and good positions it will work very well too.

fenderwq It's mind blogging, you would think at this point every one knows the appeal of VR. I always find models standing close to the camera nicer than sitting down anyway but that's just a personal preference of being able to see their figure well.

Please put more funding into these passthrough scenes. Bring back fan favorites and even girls who already did passthrough in the early stages because the resolution and overall quality has gotten so much better that some of the older scenes can’t really compare. You guys are killing it with the SLR originals passthroughs. We need more more more. 😂

Would be nice if PT scenes could be streamlined a little in regards to the position and pose of the male talent being more static through most of the scene so that we would not have to adjust our positions every 5 minutes. Not sure what position would be ideal for a majority or all of a scene that can still give the actress plenty of room for all her usual positions. I imagine something along the lines of a slightly recline male position would work well for most sex positions and angles? Would be interesting to at least have them test one sex scene with one male angle and position to see how that would translate into the real world vs most of the other ones where they constantly go back and forth between several positions in a scene.

As a user myself, the Missionary segment of the recent Sisi Rose release blew me away. Was checking it out earlier and hit the perfect combination of room lighting/angle/etc. to the point where it was pretty mind-blowing.

justsomedude101 That is absolutely my favorite PT scene so far. Whatever your production team did with the lighting of that scene and your post production coloring was on spot. All PT scenes should be shot this well moving forward. Plus it didnt hurt that SLR shot such an incredible production with one of the hottest women out there right now. Unlike other studios who decide to shoot their PR 12K scenes with some of the worst talent you could possible imagine. Not trying to be a jerk to anyone who are fans of both those ladies, but come on, out of all the top tier talent out there and for such a buzz around the releases of the first 12K scenes, that is who you go with? haha My pettiness still cant get over that 😆

justsomedude101 The first half of missionary is perfectly positioned but after the cut in the middle when you are getting closer to the girl also the dick has moved up and doesn't align so well anymore.
