I recently received my new Quest 3 in the mail, much like many of you, in hopes to try out the latest and greatest AR experiences with SLR passthrough scripted content

I came in with average expectations, and came away seriously impressed!

The high definition clarity in the Quest 3 combined with that natural feeling colour background passthrough -> I legitimately felt as if the actress was truly right there in my room in front of me, and then working on me through my handy sex toy perfectly lined up as if I was the only one else there with her - what a surreal sensation!

I know many have had varying levels of immersion but Im confident we can fine tune the experience with just a few more quality of life improvements to make the experience much more automated and easy to jump into for you guys

My HIGHLY recommended tips for Next Level passthrough:

  • Get the Quest 3!

  • Get the Handy! (its a smaller toy which helps for a less visible toy during passthrough view)

  • In DeoVR:
    Go to Settings -> Controller -> Under the GLOBAL tab -> Re-map the 'RECENTER' button to 'Primary Thumbstick center' OR 'any button you prefer that you don't already use'
    (Make sure you click the green check mark to confirm and override any previous mapped button)
    Now once the native passthrough video plays, just click and hold your 'thumbstick center' button -> then just move your head to drag the scene to line up with your cock, and release the button -> perfect alignment quick and easy everytime!

  • Additional alignment:
    -Turn ON the 'dome rotation with roll' in the player setting and make sure your 6dof is OFF
    -Instead of just moving the screen left or right you pretty much can place the model how you want - lined up Real nice.
    -Holding both triggers and moving your hand is how you use this - just make sure to re-drag the view back to its original position if you want to recenter the scene back to its original default position
    -Try mapping 'dome rotation' to button A for easier use (thanks for the tip @Vrsumo2017 !)

  • Choose the 'Quest' colorspace option in passthrough settings (or swap around quickly between the other presets to better match the lighting in your room)

    It depends - How are you dragging the video with the controller yourself?

    Are you using the Quest 3 and do you have the recenter button already mapped to another button?

        RealcumberScripts I am still on Q2. For dragging, I am using the DeoVR standard key bindings for dome rotation, primary hand trigger + primary index trigger. For recentering, I am using the menu button (= Button start) on the left controller.

              After getting a quest 3, all I want is passthrough content and bigger names features in the passthrough content. Any news on when powerblow support is added to haptics connect?

                SchnuppiLilac - I haven't experimented much yet with dome rotation - but with having 'recenter' set under 'global' option, you dont really need anything else to adjust and you can just look right where you want it aligned - its much more intuitive this way imo

                  parsec Im surprised how much I actually much prefer more passthrough now with the Quest 3 as well

                    RealcumberScripts Have you tried enabling the hand tracking? It will make your hand into a remote, so your hands will be part of the video. It's even more immersive, with so much potential, in my opinion.

                        Hoping we can get PT working with OSR2/SR6. I know SLR was planning to add wifi support once Tempest has the firmware supporting it which should make this possible. Anyone hear any updates about this?

                        bboy7895 yup just tried that the other day, yet another layer of very very cool immersion!
                        We just need to find a way to have the hands be able to reposition the video more easily when needed and for one handed use

                          Passthrough really highlights any flaws in camera position and scaling. I think directors need a more scientific approach to achieve precision in these areas, or it's a frustrating experience, constantly trying to get the image in the right place and distance. Cock should not appear to change position in the frame throughout the entire scene, IMHO.
