petermc not speaking for anyone else here but I tend to enjoy watching anal, rough sex, watersports etc as they are things that most of us don’t get to experience often, if at all, in real life.
argyle43 Not getting in the middle of this dead horse beating, other than to point out there are far too many generalized hypotheses going on out there to explain away peoples tastes so simply.
Just to be clear, I understand and support this. I'm a psychologist/neuroscientist by trade, so I know that A LOT goes into sexual preferences, arousal, drive, and kink. It is not my intention to judge or shame anyone. The one exception to that rule is when someone else rudely judges first - like talking about "the current crop of emascualted cowardly men" who have never been with a woman" or "people who are bad with women and social skills" who want "a pretend girlfriend experience". In that case, you crossed the line first, and it is fair to turn your preferences around on you (though it is no more valid).
As @argyle43 said, I have had plenty of women in my time. Though I have been married for 20+ years with a few kids, I am also nearing 60. My pre-marriage body count is in the triple digits. I've participated in gang-bangs, threesomes, foursomes, light bondage, dom/sub, CNC, etc. My tatses are hardly vanilla. That being said, I enjoy VR for the experiential aspect. Non-POV porn on a headset is just regular porn in 3D - and I am sick of regular porn. I've been watching it since the late 70s FFS! The immersive first-person POV, along with a hands-free stroker and handcrafted script is what differentiates VR porn from traditional porn, and I have zero interest in "porting" traditional porn to VR. To me, it is akin to buying a 85" OLED flat screen so you can hook up your VCR and watch old episodes of The Waltons.
As for the commenting experience, I have no issue with people saying they like something, or saying they don't. In turn, you should not have any issue with me doing the same. MY problem with the comments and discussion boards lately is that some factions seem to get up in arms if people leave poor reviews or opinions of the CONTENT they like, and in return attack THE COMMENTERS for stating their opinion. Sorry, but criticism of the content is what comments, upvotes, and downvotes are for. Yes, there are a segment of people who don't like non-POV, PT , etc. and they make their dislike known. What's the problem with that? I find it interesting that when it happens, the fans of that material make a point to make comments telling SLR "not to listen" and "don't let it stop you from making this" - as if they are afraid that people expressing their dislike will cause their preferred content to disappear. Then, in the same breath, they will attack others and declare that they are only complaining because they are afraid that they won't get what they want. Like I said: projection.
