Quest 3 binocular overlap
[deleted] Quest 3 is a creepy product. Why do I need to give Meta the device IDs for my computer and cellphone to use it? I'd trust SLR before I'd trust Meta.
the hell is that all about?

bboy7895 Q3 is better than Q2 in terms of noticeable overlap. I have both headsets right here and have looked at an identical part of a scene. In every day use I doubt anyone would have a problem with either headset in this regard, but if it bothers you it'll bother you more on Q2.

[deleted] it’s not really unusable for most consumers as these are largely the same software issues (if you can even call some of them issues) as Quest 2 and that headset probably accounts for about 90% of all VR users.
I have turned on every possible privacy setting and made myself as invisible as I can on Meta so I don’t get any random recommendations of strangers to talk to and I have zero followers as I’m not discoverable on there.

Then you don't know what I'm talking about, because the setting cannot be turned off. Maybe you haven't visited any places of the "Metaverse"? If you do, you will see it.

Without registration as a Developer, there's no way to disable the Guardian feature. None of the free software is available from SideQuest without the additional registration. How easy is that whole process? Users have to know about SideQuest and App Lab, and for many consumers that's a significant commitment of time and research for a recreational device.

I joined Facebook in 2004, through a friend of the Zuck's. I was smart enough to leave it soon thereafter.
This feature targets people without a Facebook account.

vrpicasso I actually have the quest 2 and its actually less noticeable on the quest 2 than it did with the quest 3.
It should be lets noticeable on the quest 2 because The Quest 2 has 90 degrees of binocular overlap on a 98 degree field of view.
Vrsumo2017 pico 4 is easily the best when it comes to binocular overlap. I was honestly planning to sell my pico 4, but I'm just going to keep it, just incase I can't get used to the quest 3 binocular overlap.

It is, I just got the q3, ffs I had to adjust the facegaurd out to max just to get a kinda of perfect circle, up close the frame looks kinda web shape-ish if I'm not looking at, if i look at it its not there.
