jommy agreed, it’s not all bad. I’m sure SLR are a help to small independent studios starting out. It’s just a shame that the VR Porn industry and customer base doesn’t seem to be able to support many of those studios to ever feel financially secure enough to leave the nest and go out on their own. If we have reached a point that new sites are not possible, as was suggested, that is not a healthy state of affairs in my opinion, certainly not something to crow about as DoubleVR seemed to be.

I think the fact that none of the major porn producers followed Naughty America into VR probably speaks volumes for how difficult it is to make it work financially. If Brazzers, Evil Angel and their ilk don’t feel there’s money in it, what hope a small outfit starting from scratch?

    theHobbit every bit as much as you imagine… and worth every last penny to me. Independent producers, lots of them, and a liquid market with plenty of competition is good for all of us. Giant monopolistic Borg-like behemoths dominating the landscape, yea, not so good.

        If you are shy or hesitant to say lol, please provide instead what percentage of your monthly income is spent on supporting VR porn. Shouldn't be to hard to quantify that.

              I'm really surprised by the stuff people missed in this thread. Adult Time are a 2D titan and soon after some customer surveys last year they immediately pivot to signing on VR studios. Swallowbay was literally one of the first VR studios Adult Time signed on. They already had comprehensive toy feedback for their 2D content which works immediately with their VR content - which means i think they already have like 1000 VR scripted videos thats all inclusive. But after trying it the issue is they have poor UX within VR web browsers, which is why SLR comes out on top with DeoVR support.

              So yes, why SLR has 25,000 videos and the best originals around, Adult Time are moving full steam ahead, SLR's only other competitor POVR has poorer usability but they do happen to have around 1000 videos from Virtual Taboo and if you're a virtual taboo fan POVR can sometimes feel worth it instead of just having a Virtual Taboo subscription. Honestly if SLR could get Virtual Taboo it would be a killer blow imo, Virtual Taboo have 3 updates a week and despite not even being interested in the fetish myself, the casting quality is superb.

              Anyway, that's my take as a fan - Adult Time is a new player that's aggressive and POVR's only value is Virtual Taboo imo

                        I don't expect that Virtual Taboo will give up exclusivity and start sharing their entire catalog with any aggregator. I don't think there are any full VT videos on POVR, these are only previews. VRPorn has a small selection of full videos but only older ones.

                            I’m not aware of POVR having any Virtual Taboo videos. If they do, it must be a long time ago. I subscribe there for WankzVR and POVR Premium scenes. MilfVR has the odd decent scene too.

                              SchnuppiLilac Right, thats because their content is actually top notch and they probably manage just fine on their own taking in 100% of their subscriptions. I only see studios who are not quite performing as well as they hoped or anticipated participating with sites like SLR to help them distribute. Also anyone looking to save on hosting expenses as well can simply offload their entire catalogue to this site to manage instead lol

                                        metichemsi Virtual Taboo are also backed by Xhamster so never needed the safety net of SLR, they had the financial backing to stay on their own. Most small VR studios don’t have that.

                                            petermc wow, that I did not know, well good for them either way, they have been putting out some top notch content for years and they have had their 7K setup on lockdown for a long time so they really dont need anything else.

                                              They went to keep majority of their scenes exclusive to their paysite with some 15 staying on slr.
                                              I can't see it working well for them.
