For what reason(s) are more downloads required? I normally just stream from DeoVR for DLR and use Heresphere for POVR. The whole point I bought these subscriptions was to not have to invest in expensive ssd's to store videos.

had another couple FAVs just vanish....definitely NO offending stuff talked about.

maybe let people know they have a week to download it or buy it.

with the videos being deleted...would be a good thing to let people download what they want...especially if they have a year membership. maybe RAISE the rates if needed.

i am concerned with the JAV crap....once it's gone, it gone

theHobbit some people don’t have great wireless speeds so they download and watch via their PC to avoid constant buffering when streaming.

SLR also have a habit of removing videos with no warning when they change their compliance thresholds so people like to keep their favourites in case they are taken down.

Also just the obvious thing where people may not want to keep paying SLR forever in order to watch certain scenes. They can download what they want and watch it as often as they like even after cancelling their subscription.

petermc ok thanks - was curious.

I have a really fast internet connection so the buffering is rarely an issue for me

theHobbit All the answers are already there, you just need to read. It's not that hard, just try it.

And why do you even write here if you have zero interests in downloads in the first place? Makes zero sense.

I vote against increasing downloads just to piss LordCrash off lol

Is there a reason why one needs to download so much on a regular basis?

Not to play ball on the negative side of this discussion, but extremely heavy users may end up costing the site more than what they make in subscription fees. For these users, the fair option would be to pay their share by purchasing individual movies if their needs go well beyond what is considered 'fair use'.

ZENRA Extremely heavy users would surely make up a very small % of the userbase, no?

ZENRA Is there a reason why one needs to download so much on a regular basis?

Another one who cannot even read the inital post of a thread he responds to... sigh

This is really a special kind of community with the majority of users arguing against their own benefits and worrying more about the profit of Mr. DoubleVr himself than rooting for improved features and more convenience for everybody. If you don't really care why even posting here in the first place?

Thanks for the support nothing, guys.

theHobbit seems like you are just here to hate on @LordCrash ? I don't always agree with the guy either but this is pathetic behavior

Ofc more downloads would be nice, VRB/Wankz/Badoink/NA all offer much more downloads (3-4x amount or limitless)
I read a thread here that mentioned Avidemux and I got into editing videos, this made me hit the download limit fast

You ask for the reason and perceived benefits, are you for real?? Because you are such a special snowflake I will answer:
            reason: we want more downloads
perceived benefits: we get more downloads

At this level just don't comment honestly

For me, the reason to wish for a higher download limit is simply that I want to watch videos from the major studios in the best quality available. I don't have the intention to collect any videos. If there is a Virtualrealporn video in 50 Mbps, I want to watch it in 50 Mbps and not in 22 Mbps reduced quality. If there is a FuckPass video in 90 Mbps, I want to watch it in 90 Mbps and not in 30 Mbps.

I think most will be able to accept that downloads cannot be unlimited. But if you look at the fair use policies of other providers, the lowest I've ever noticed was 10 per day. Therefore, I think that asking for 10 per day instead of 5 is not an excessive demand at all.

yangbodyn seems like you are just here to hate on @LordCrash ? I don't always agree with the guy either but this is pathetic behavior

what on earth gave you that idea lol.

yangbodyn I think peoples bandwidth should be throttled if they call you names like snowflake lol.

yangbodyn reason: we want more downloads
perceived benefits: we get more downloads

so just a demand by the mob then? No actual tangible reason? Glad we got that sorted. 🙂

LordCrash I agree with you; more downloads wouldn't be bad; I am a lifetime subscriber and have not regretted it for 2 months; well I have only downloaded very few videos for the moment but I would like not to be so restricted not 30 downloads for 6 days: 50 downloads for 6 days and I will be satisfied; I'm not going to argue, I feel like it's not much use lol, but I'm appealing to the good heart of doublevr lol; go a good gesture for the love of the beautiful women of your site (I love them all I think)

Are you trying to troll like amateur or are you just really bad at it?

@theHobbit this is a feature REQUEST post

Its clear that this is pointless, I'll ignore you and let you rant, hf

Hairsational Are you trying to troll like amateur or are you just really bad at it?

there are only a few of you drama queens who are triggered by my so called 'trolling' it seems lol. you can't help yourselves.

I asked a perfectly reasonable question.

theHobbit I asked a perfectly reasonable question.

You obviously didn't read the original post if you had to ask this question. Reading at least the original post is basic courtesy before engaging in a discussion online. Checking whether your question was already answered during the discussion is another thing people expect you to do before asking. Same applies to starting new threads, you're expected to search whether your issues was already discussion before asking another time etc. That's all basic rules for discussions on internet forums and I'm pretty sure that you know that as well.

So please don't act surprised when you're caught and called out for what either is lazyness or bad intent. Anyway, that's my last reply to you here since you're obviously just out for attention.

LordCrash The original post was looked at before replying. Whether a subscriber is a long-term one or not, suddenly giving them massively more download capability can hurt the site's bottom line along with increasing other risk factors as noted. Thus, if a user--long-term or not--wishes to access a lot more, then buying movies separately is the fairer option. At the end of the day, certainly almost all users are not regularly (or at all) reaching the fair use limit so it's probably not in the interest of the site to bend over backwards for heavy users.

SexLikeReal is about sexual wellness, not about amassing a gargantuan locally-stored porn collection to survive a nuclear winter or two. That option does exist though and perhaps for especially long-term users, a mutual solution could be lowering the price of PPV movies by X%.
