SchnuppiLilac Everyone likes VR scenes while less than everyone likes PT scenes. I think we don't need any data to back up this claim and it is not surprising since PT is just an additional niche (maybe like solo vids or non-POV).
Agree. Let's put it this way:
When a scene of a highly sought-after performer drops in PT, despite the number of likes, you'll always get a decent amount of users commenting how they would wish for the scene to be VR. If a scene of a highly sought-after performer drops in VR, almost nobody if any would comment on how they would wish for the scene to be PT.
Given that VR scenes are a staple, and judging from the SLRO VR releases of the past few months, I feel like I am not getting my moneys worth anymore. I find myself watching either old SLRO scenes or JAVVR, RealJam, VRSpy releases more and more often.
- The number of long, storylined VR scenes have dwindled massively, and even when they do release something that seemed exciting (like the Penny Barber scene), they somehow technically botch it.
- Similarly, good BGG+ VR scenes have dwindled. Gone were the good days of Asian Delight, Latina Delight, Raw Taboo, Aquarius Spa scenes. By the way, the most well-received SLRO scene (judging by the reaction and comments) of 2023 was Modern Relationship, a 2h+ VR production whose storyline was fan suggested.
- Less and less "sneak peaks" and list of upcoming performers communicated. Those were great to keep up my interest!
Not saying PT shouldn't exist, but VR scenes should be the bedrock of SLRO and there should be a balance of PT/VR scenes without compromising VR scene quality (which most ppl here including myself have subbed for). I am worried that the quality and abundance of VR scenes are being affected because of SLRO's push on PT.
While PT is undoubtedly popular to some subscribers, the "like" mechanism is not informative, a user can either like or not like, thus one cannot distinguish a user who is discontent with a scene versus one who is neutral. Adding a thumbs down button and comparing like/dislike ratio would give a MUCH clearer picture. If this were implemented, I would expect PT scenes to have a high like count but also a comparatively high dislike count.
I of course do not know what goes on BTS, but seeing Nash producing decent scenes for VRSpy, I might go check it out.
