Will65 He's talking about ridiculously overdone fake breasts, lip injections, tattoed eybeows, 2 inch eyelashes, etc.

Exactly. I don't want to be rude, but I think SLR needs to appreciate that this particular 'look' is a niche that maybe needs to be de-emphasized in their films.

While I'm approaching this as someone with an interest in JAV and Japanese films, where most women look wholesome and lack tattoos, there are many attractive, sweet, and clever American models who'd be a better choice (in my opinion) in the SLR Originals films.

Some models, for instance, are essentially one-and-done for SLR Originals; whereas others are used over and over again (like Melody Marks, who is a fine actress and hot but in virtually every film).

Plenty of women from OnlyFans and social media platforms would probably jump at the chance of an SLR Originals debut. Directors like @alexnash actually know about film-making, and how to help emphasize the attractive characteristics of natural looking female models. While experience is a great asset in the porn world, SLR is missing out on the spontaneity and honest appeal of casting porn. Guys like me at least come here when the GF is away for the purposes of entertainment and a temporary virtual GF substitute. Although many American guys may love the 'vanilla', and not share my appreciation for the cultural elements of JAV, I'd say that more than half the men on here prefer ordinary looking women, as in Girlfriend-like models. I don't know the national statistics for collagen injections and fake plastic boobs in America, but I'm guessing the figure is lower than 50%. Additionally, while women wear crazy exhibitionist clothes for clubbing, they seldom wear provocative clothes on a regular basis while at home.

There are plenty of normal looking women in porn that deserve more than a one and done SLR Originals, like Amber Moore, Stella Sedona, Myra Glasford (upcoming!!!), Adrianna Jade (sadly retired now), Skyler Storm, Athena Heart, Ailee Anne, and Bella Forbes.

cytriv sure, repeating the same thing in the comments of every scene may not be the best way to get a point across.. but banning people who give critical feedback is what hopeless companies do. there needs to be a feedback loop so that customer pain points can be understood and so that the product can improve.

BML5768 Not everyone is the same. I have a high tolerance for imperfections in the technical details of a scene. I really don't care that much.

i think a lot people are just happy with whatever because they dont have a clue with whats wrong or how it could be better.

when you know whats wrong and how it could be better and you see slr routinely doing things in a suboptimal way, or even regressing, it gets very frustrating.

spacepirate there's no wrong and right any more. There are things people enjoy and that people do. There are creators who address particular users and don't address others.
You watch what you enjoy and give a feedback on that.

Going around and pushing your agenda all over the place just makes everyone annoyed.

true for things like model preference but once again you are burying your head in the sand and refusing to acknowledge problems. see this post for half a dozen things that slr still fucks up regularly.

You watch what you enjoy and give a feedback on that.

thats difficult when slr is constantly botching the scenes that do appeal to me

That said, there's finally a 1hr40m+ scene later this week. Hope it will be a decent one!

Only thing you guys are doing wrong right now is not sharing more of that hacked canon lens and what you guys did to fix the issue. When is the tutorial coming for the rest of us?

The 'create playlist' function on this site is great, except for one annoyance:

You have to refresh the page you are currently viewing to get an up to date version of what if any playlists a video already belongs to.

So, if you have a bunch of tabs open and have already added or removed that video to a playlist via another open tab, you don't get an up to date view on that until you refresh the page you are currently viewing.

Something similar happens when favoriting performers. If you already favorited or unfavorited a performer in another open tab, the act of favoriting or unfavoriting them again will actually have the opposite of effect of what the animation is showing you is happening.

thatoculusdude If they were just a studio, sure. But they are literally in the business of selling other studio's content, content that is also being shot in the same system, that also needs the same fix so that people can also buy it, it would be in their best interest to ensure everyone who has this camera setup can also make proper content that they can then sell on their platform to their same users.

I saw a post a while ago about them "fixing" an old scene shot on the canon camera, which to me implies this is not really a hardware hack of the lens, per say, but more of a software "hack" which may be part of the reason why they are so quiet about it. How could an old scene shot on the canon prior to the hack be fixed?

If there was a hardware hack of the lens, then they could at least show their Frankenstein mess, without necessarily revealing anything, just a look at the lens with possible 3D printed parts.

I still doubt they modified the actual lens, but I would love to be wrong, and see what exactly they did. These lenses have a ton of moving parts and optics, adjusting the IPD would be an incredible feat, even by canons standards.

doublevr any reason why you guys dont even share a pic of the lens? Even if you dont actually go into details, how is at least a picture of the lens going to give anything away? Who are you guys guarding this secret from? Canon? Content creators? Isnt that who you want to help out in the first place? You guys have an entire SFW division with DeoVR with dozens of creators who use this lens, your owners are constantly begging people to upload their content and projects on that site, yet when a significant improvement comes around, you are completely hush about it?

metichemsi lack of time and motivated people. We are probably going to release it. There has to be someone actually doing it and I have no idea who would be

doublevr things must be going really good then, how is nobody motivated to help improve the content your sties makes a living from? As a content reseller it would be at the top of my list to ensure everyone who uses this system can at least have the opportunity to do the same. Give it to someone like Hugh for his youtube channel, that dude has plenty of motivation to help the VR platform grow and improve.

metichemsi that’s not exactly how it works. You make innovation happen despite all the opposition and critics you get.

And btw can you name a single cool movie shot by Hugh? The guy is a joke. He never has done anything special. It would be embarrassing to give things to him

doublevr I respect your point of view, even though you are coming at it from a completely different side. But I appreciate your candid response and insight into how you view these matters.

I dont personally agree with your opinion on Hugh, but then again I'm not just looking at things through this porn bubble. VR content creation goes beyond porn and into the mainstream, and yes, porn does often jumpstart and sustain some tech and industries but ultimately, it's the mainstream that will end up carrying any industry or not for more than a few years, or just a niche fad in the fringes of porn.

These are two completely different lanes we are talking about, I get it, you deal with porn studios and your own productions, so furthering or helping individual creators is not what you are in the business of. I hope that studios continue to support your thriving platform and that you never get to a stagnant point like the DeoVR platform.

doublevr So, because some rando linked to that silly thread you created in response to me agreeing with someone else's post that it seems like you are trolling your own customers when you keep doing the things you say you wont do - you think I was busted?

                  This is like middle school

doublevr The guy is a joke. He never has done anything special. It would be embarrassing to give things to him

                  BRUH 🤣
