Are scenes stats manipulated?

Marge1994 BDK = Badoink? If so, there are 3 ways of sorting:
Top rated = by total no. of likes
Most viewed = by total no. of views
Most popular = by no. of views per day

For the first two, I did not notice any irregularities. For the last one, the information is not published and cannot be verified.

So yeah, the new system does seem to be like you described, with 'Top rated' being decided by total number of likes. But just a couple of days ago, it wasn't like this. They used to calculate it based on the number of likes versus dislikes, while still keeping the number of dislikes hidden.

I've been thinking, and I reckon they've divided the scenes into two groups based on their release dates, at least up to page 20. Then they reordered them according to the highest-rated system you mentioned. But when you hit page 21, the order starts over from the highest rated, disregarding dislikes altogether. Idk if my theory is clear enough... but yea I think they completely ruined it again.

No chance anything is manipulated on our end. There's a separate logic for a personal feed how we show content there.

We do not manipulate statistics and do not let others do it.

We have three basic sorts:
Hot for guests is based on recent views. Logged in users see personal recommendations based on their recent views.
New is based on the dates the scenes were added to the site.
Top is based on the number of likes for a certain period.

The content on the main page differs depending on the blocks in which it is placed, but most of it is based on personal recommendations. If we are talking about logged in users.

Marge1994 we really want to get someone making sense of this. right now it's a bunch of algorithms doing algorithmic job. I've caught some few anomalies already that got fixed like showing solo scenes for gangbang videos.

Ultimately we want to move things to the next level and getting a dedicated person like suggestions managers leading the effort with some few data engineers.

Okay, now I get it. The most recent video with 22 likes and the least number of views is rated higher than a video from 2017 with 984 likes. Probably not what you would expect from top rated sorting

Marge1994 Been subbed to BDK since 2018, and I gotta say, they've always been a bit on the shady side when it comes to their rating system, and some other stuffs like never give us any deets on what kind of gear they're using, even though folks asked them a million times. And don't get me started on their so-so customer support.

I confirm they've messed with the ratings more than once without any prior notice, and now they canceled the count of the dislikes on their scene ratings. And that weird thing they did on page 21? It's just making things worse and pushing people away. Even though I always felt like I'm getting 95% money worth of what I paid for with my lifetime subscription. But now It's like they're trying to tell us, "This isn't your concern. Just watch the scenes and STFU." Not cool, man. Not cool.

Otherwise I really want to see the best content win. Whoever it is. Perfectly we never wanted to get in production and have it only for creators. Yet, we had to step up the game as there was not much happening.

doublevr Even if there is no way for users to verify that the number of likes on SLR are genuine, it came never to my mind to doubt them. The amount of feedback in the comments and forum for SLRO videos (positive and negative) compared to other studios gives the same picture.

And in the case of Badoink, it seems for me that this might be rather a glitch. What would they gain by manipulating the top rated order? All is Badoink, there is no competition.

For legal reasons the American companies that manipulate statistics must use words that reflect their new algorithms.

Anyone else notice that youtube has changed "Most Viewed" to "Popular"? This is because they are now enforcing rigid censorship for various reasons, but most specifically for advertising money from Big Pharma.

See how they have age blocked this video and it's no longer visible in the Joe Rogan feed... It has 67 million views and was not age blocked until recently.

SLR is censored in various unwise ways. For instance, they block "time stop" videos while keeping age-play "step-parent" porn. Also, they removed VRGoddess for having a few scenes with wine glasses, despite it being a company run by a young woman with her real life friends.

These are credit card company guidelines. They thrown Time Stop in with Alcohol and other stuff that could be interpreted as non-consensual. I'm not a legal expert on these things, so don't ask me why 'this' is allowed and 'that' is not allowed. Or why site X does, and site Y doesn't. 🙂

From what I can recall, back in 2021 when they started rolling out the 7k, shortly afterwards a bunch of the older 5k scenes magically morphed into 7k (obviously upscaled). Ever since, this question has been popping up over and over: what's the the native file? Is it 5k, an upscaled 6k, or maybe even a downscaled 8k? You know how people love to get crafty with editing softwares.

Here's my take on it. Somewhere down the line, they hit a resolution roadblock and put out an announcement about some editing issues and how they were working on a fix. So, if I were to hazard a guess, I'd say there's a good chance they're using the same rig as SexBabesVR and then working their magic in post-production. I'm not just pulling this out of thin air, try comparing one of their old 7k (formerly 5k) with one of the recently dropped 7k ones - you won't see a significant difference worth shouting about.

the native resolution is 2772p. the 6k and 7k versions are upscaled.

there isnt exactly a wide selection of suitable vr cameras available...
