I'm upgrading to AVP from the Quest Pro (QP). The biggest issue I have with the QP (besides being a FB product) is sweat. The displays are pretty good, but there's definitely pixels there. I'm not wow'd by the pass through (PT), and it's not like my house is more appealing than your average porn set. I really don't use the QP for anything besides the pron, and I'm looking forward to being rid of it.

Definitely excited for this weekend with the AVP. I've watched several recent unboxing/initial reviews and I haven't seen anything that makes me regret ordering one. Obviously, my main use case isn't mentioned by any of the reviewers, lol. I do plan to explore other uses, as I'm heavily invested in the Apple ecosystem, both for work and play.

Right, I'm listening to them saying what can you do with it, they show off some cool stuff but I'm just like SHOW THEM THE HOTTIES, show em the AR video of a slr dancing stipper, no nudity, that right there would make it feel worth 4000$ to many. Lol 😆

Most definitely looks great for media and vrp and AR videos.

I bet latter you'll be able to Bluetooth vr controllers for actual vr games.

If I was a gamer I'd live stream playing 2d games on this.

could use it for live sex pov, probably put it on a tripod or something for non pov.

a lot of wobble to it as he's moves his head, just him laughing caused a wobble. Get guy a stabilizer tripod.

One reviewer of a review said in the apple pro vision commercials it never showed the users moving their head" It never showed off the wobble.

I’m actually writing these words here, the ones you’re reading, on the Vision Pro using the MacBook, and all I can say is I bet if you were watching me now you’d think I looked just like Tom Cruise in Minority Report, only slightly more handsome.

There it is, the killer app! Writing texts on a laptop. But they already had me at the Tom Cruise part.

I don’t think there’s gonna be too many people in here that will have one to review.

It’s mainly for developers. I think Apples next headset will be the one you’ll want to get after this one has the kinks taken out and it’s had more time to develop. Will be very interesting in the next couple of years whether the Quest 4 or Vision Pro 2 is the better option. Remember the first iteration of the iPhone didn’t take as well until it got worked on.

Vrsumo2017 DeoVR used to be in the App Store, I had it on my phone in 2017. But at some point it stopped working and later on it was taken down, probably discontinued by Deolikereal themselves and not because of that one guy from the Meta store whose cousin watched dirty stuff with it.

A year ago it was mentioned in the DeoVR forum that they are working on a flat DeoVR app for iOS but I would assume this was stopped after they invented the flattened VR videos in the browser. But I am sure they will at least try to bring DeoVR back for visionOS.

They aren't going to allow it. Maybe through the web browser, but not porn apps. And DeoVR is a cleverly disguised porn app that will likely get taken down quickly.

can confirm any video player app you put on it will display as an external monitor. only 3d that plays are from the apple tv store Disney app and spacial video from iPhone. if you export 3d video taken on device it will come out as a flat video.

I'm waiting for UPS, should have in hand soon. From various discussions and reviews, it sounds like WebXR in Safari isn't working as expected. However, people are saying this Moon VR player should do the trick, at least for downloaded files. Hoarders UNITE!

Also, I plan to check out the PLAY'A app for iPad, PLAY'A is the app used by the VRBangers family of websites. However, I doubt the iPad app will be able to escape the 2D windowed display that all non-native AVP apps are reportedly locked inside. I don't doubt that plenty of immersive VR players will emerge, and if Safari drops the ball on WebXR, I suspect other browsers will fill the void.
