  • Okay folks, this is serious - No Alcohol, No drugs, No Nonconsensual

justsomedude101 I know you’re done on the topic so no need to respond. I only wanted to point out I wasn’t advocating a wholesale change and my last post said as much. What I said was that SLR is in a good position to add crypto payment as one option, provide help for those that are interested to learn how to move to that option, and therefore be a leader moving the needle. Despite the non-believers above who most likely just don’t get it, blockchain and digital currencies are coming. It’s up to ordinary people to ensure these are ones that allow people to truly own their money and how they use their money, vs. being ostriches while central governments lobbied by big banks put out their own non-private and centralized versions.

I’ll shut up now too.

do the major porn companies like brazzers, bangbors, czechvr, realjam, etc. use the same credit card billing system on their exclusive sites? and are they being held to the same standard of removing past content featuring alcohol and prohibited from making future content featuring alcohol

SLR is taking a harder stance with potentially trouble content to prevent any potential issues down the line. At the tippy top, the big thing card companies don't want to see among legally-produced content are non-con themes. Billers, who to keep things short, are the actual customers of card companies, not sites like SLR, may err a bit more to play it safe. Then you have the paysites themselves that may or may not play it even safer because the best amount of emails one can receive from one's biller is zero.

LordCrash No, but both sell 4K remasters of Cannibal Holocaust. Surprising, because I think what SLR is doing with passthrough vastly has more cultural merit and certainly is considerably less obscene than that movie. Such is the prejudice our industry faces.

argyle43 SLR already has a crypto option. I just loaded the join form and it is there.

      argyle43

if you keep crypto at a brokerage like a gemini....it's not as private and carefree as you think

been questioned a few times on transfers....they wanted screen shots and closed the acct...holding my money when the market crash 40 percent

i got into crypto to play online poker....so if you want something bad enough...you will make some changes

now have crypto, but before transferring it out...send it all to a wallet and do it....kind of pain in the ass, but still worth it when i need to use it

spanker Exchanges (in USA at least) and other financial companies push crypto in that they want users to 'invest' in it, but gosh forbid the moment you want to start using it to pay for goods and services...

ZENRA cool. I’ve had a LT since mid 2020 so haven’t been by the billing pages in awhile.

spanker nobody should keep crypto on a CEX. That’s asking for trouble right now. Get cash on, get crypto off and into a hardware wallet. Yes there’s a learning curve just like there was a learning curve to use the Internet when it first emerged 30-some years ago. This too will get easier with more adoption, and the current stigmas will pass as they do for all breakthrough technologies that have come before.

argyle43 accepting crypto on a wallet is not the save as running a billing with many protocols.

The company we have a wallet with eventually will ask us the same questions about compliance

doorsareopen do the major porn companies like brazzers, bangbors, czechvr, realjam, etc. use the same credit card billing system on their exclusive sites?

running a platform is much more complex and challenging than running individual site.

we are taking a safer side on compliance because we want to focus on tech, rather than running from one bank to another. getting a notice overnight that your bank account got shut is no cool. there are thousands of people relying on getting a paycheck from us.

I also do like an idea of turning porn into sexual wellness thing making everyone happy.

doublevr I appreciate the answer. obviously you understand all those nuances way better than we could yelling from the sidelines. thanks for explaining it more.

Trying to catch up on this thread so bear with me:

petermc If I came off as in anyway hostile, that was not my intent. I totally get where your perception has come from. Like I said, of the insignificant number of ultra-socially conservative Christians don't control the banks, but I get why you say that you were always taught "it's the right-wingers' fault": The people in power want you to constantly blame the right-wing and Christians for everything you don't like. It's been that way during my entire 36 years of existence and shit hasn't changed. Take "violent video games make kids violent," for example. This happened in the 90's and you will no doubt be taught this was a thing because "evil right wingers tried to stop video games." The reality was it's the same, maybe 80,000 at the time, right wing ultra-socially conservatives with no political or financial power that complained. Their feckless complaints didn't amount to anything. But the reality is the ones who championed the cause with political and financial power were Joe Lieberman, Tipper Gore and Hillary Clinton. Those who spearheaded the movement against video games before telling you to Pokemon Go to the poles were all Democrats. Once those with actual power got involved, that's when things changed; that's when the ESRB was created, etc. But the records say "right wing lawyer Jack Thompson in the 2000's." as if this low level nutjob lawyer had any pull. He didn't. The video game regulation came in from Democrats a DECADE BEFORE anybody had ever of Jack Thompson. "Because this guy with no power said games were bad in the 2000's caused regulation on gaming in the 90's." But that's the story we're told.

This shit isn't any different. It's always portrayed one way when the reality of it is usually buried.

LordCrash Maybe don't vote for the fucking idiots who go against your porn on the ballot next time.

We don't vote for CEOs and board members of the banks. ¯_(ツ)_/¯

LordCrash Do you guys even know what "liberal" actually means? No wonder the US is so fucked up right now with such abysmal political education...

That's fair, but that's an issue across the English speaking world. The Left hasn't been liberal for a long time. Liberalism is the rights of the individual ahead of the group; opposite of Socialism.

LordCrash Maybe you talk about ultra hardcore feminists or whatever but the huge majority of progressives is pretty ok with porn.

Cool. The right watches porn too. They want to keep it out of schools, but other than that, the overwhelming majority are not trying to stop you from doing whatever you want. The Leftists who are in charge of the banks, however, as well as the media btw, really hate porn and guns and anything that doesn't go along with the "hardcore feminist" agenda (which isn't even accurate label btw because TERFs aren't too happy with the Left's agenda either). The only liberal persons left on the planet are Libertarians and Ancaps, neither of which want regulation of porn.

LordCrash It doesn't matter who's in place as long as there are conservative biggots being out there using a ridiculous lawsuit system in their favor.

Nobody of power is suing the banks to stop porn, especially on the right. The only thing that could scare the banks are cancel culture and those agendas are promoted by the Left, especially one in particular who happens to live in Eastern Europe.

LordCrash There are no huge scandals in Eastern Europe. It's not because there are not cases of underage porn or human trafficing

True, there's tons of both, even more than the US, but you don't hear about it because nobody gives a shit about human trafficking or cp in Eastern Europe. People don't care unless it happens to their family members and there's no way to hold anybody accountable over there so people do as they please. There is no recourse when people have wronged you. You have my full agreement on that.

LordCrash The whole issue is a 100% American one and you guys apply your fucked up systems to the whole world, thanks for that.

This can only be true if your entire economy is heavily dependent on America. China doesn't really have these same concerns because they are not entirely dependent on their relations with the US. Even if your misplaced blame was valid, it's entirely of your own doing or lack thereof for yourself by not being independent.

Things will never change so long as those with the actual power are never held accountable. If one keeps blaming those without power until those with power change things... well, here we are.

          2 months later

Crypto just seems like a borderline pyramid scheme to me. A load of money invested in something which is not backed by anything. There’s no possibility that I would ever get involved in it.

            thatoculusdude 😅
There’s a ton of paperwork behind though. But yeah, it’s a pure abstraction in our abstract world.

Establishing internal SLR economy is my key priority

BML5768 It seems the payment processors are hung up on the word "dad/daddy"

I just watched a Haley Spades vid for POVR where she says "daddy" a LOT, and it is clearly labeled a stepdad scene. For example, she says, "Damn daddy, that's a big dick!" and "Don't I look cute with your cock in my mouth, daddy?" Granted it is from August 2022, but POVR didn't seem to need to take it down, and they still seem to be in business, so...

            https://povr.com/vr-porn/stepdad-shopping-spree-6324853

I wonder if the CC companies care when Latin stars in Latin porn say papi. It just a thing they say like 'baby'. But it does mean daddy.

              4 days later

              It's not really a problem.

I just open the scenes in premier pro and strip out the 'step' from step daddy parts so it sounds normal again. I do this for any scene that has censorship. Takes like 5 minutes.

I'm nearly done writing an extension for XBVR that mutes audio at specific timings to remove the censorship automatically based on an input filter script (like slr haptic scripts).
