LordCrash Definitely agree that a more sophisticated feedback system would be good! Having to give 9 different scores per video might be too much for many users though. I know this would deter me from rating videos altogether.
We want the user experience to be as seamless as possible. And one way we can achieve this is to nest the additional feedback options, which can be easily done by implementing the far overdue and much demanded hide feature.
Make it easy for users to hide scenes/studios/performers from within the app, then allow users to provide optional additional feedback through checkboxes.
Here's a rough example of what you could do:
Scenario 1: User doesn't like the scene
1) User presses an easily accessible hide video button
2) Show the following message with the following checkboxes:
"This video is now hidden from your feed. How can we improve the scene?"
[ ] Different casting
[ ] Better camera angles
[ ] Better positions
[ ] Better storyline
[ ] Other: ___________
Scenario 2: User doesn't like the studio
1) User presses the hide studio button
2) "This studio is now hidden from your feed. What could this studio change to suit your tastes?"
[ ] Different casting
[ ] Better camera quality
[ ] Better sex positions
[ ] Better storyline etc etc
This way, users can easily provide additional feedback without having to think of multiple scores for each video. It also provides studios and directors with measurable feedback, e.g. 300 users chose to hide your studio because of your camera quality. 500 users hid this video because of your camera angles. They can then use this to improve.
