justsomedude101 Thanks for the reply. While the CGI background to Serena Hill's scene made it slightly more palatable, the overall effect was like old VRCosplay backgrounds. They tried that years ago, and everyone hated it. I'm unclear as to why ayone at SLR thinks that it is a good solution to the PT problem. VR is best when it approximates reality in a way that tricks the mind and the eye. CGI backgrounds don't do this at all - they just look cheap.
Further, nowhere in my comment did I say to stop producing PT scenes. The suggestion was to seperate them into another studio or subscription. Pehaps make the PT subscription cheap since it requires so much less investment. If PT is so popular, then people will pay to access it, right? They aren't getting it anywhere else, so they have to come here. MY point was that so many of us subbed to a VR site, not an AR one. Why force it on us, especially when it is really different on every level from what we signed up for?
I also suggested a user poll, since you say you are interested in what the subscribers want. If PT is really that popular, the poll will reveal that and you'll shut all the complainers up for a while. Why not do it?
