I did notice it’s in 8K. Was this shot with the Canon rig? Did the editors discover a way to treat the footage so the scale isn’t so huge? Or is this upscaled?

From what I saw briefly before I left for work. Scale looks good. Detail was also excellent. The picture was slightly grainy though. Not sure if the guys can do anything to clean that up.

I’ll report back when I’ve had a chance to fully watch it. Which might take a few sessions, because I might not make it that far my first viewing! 😉

alexnash looked good to me! Definitely an improvement over the 6k rig imo. Most importantly the scale was good for me (we al know that this is often not the case on the Canon camera). I did notice a few things though:

The video was a bit grainy (I've seen scenes where this was a lot less apparent with the same camera).
I noticed that the the focus switched from spot on to just a little out of focus quite a bit but in those moments it was completely in focus I was like nice!

FYI the audio de-syncs during the close-up mish. Not sure if it happens at any point after that. Wasn't able to watch it all because of..... reasons.....

alexnash I liked the scene overall. I think it looks better than the other 8k scenes. I personally don't think it looks better than the standard SLR camera. g2kbuffetboy said he is watching on a Pimax 8K X. I also use a Pimax 8K X and don't think it looks better. It looks blurry too me. Not overly blurry but not as nice as K2. The bigger problem I have is the scale of the camera. It looks like everything is the right size if it's in the center of the screen. As you get further away from the middle it starts to stretch the image. If you look at the close up mish, your legs are way way back down there because it's at the edge of the scene. This seems to happen with all the 200% scenes but it is more noticeable with this camera. Another example is if a girl is on top of you, she will look the right size but the girl on the side is stretched too big.

Overall it's a good scene and a lot of people seemed to really like it. My 1 vote would be that the standard SLR camera has a crisper image and better scale.
