I don't think that SLRO owns the scripts with this scheme. That's what we're actually talking about. Maybe I got it wrong but in my understanding the scripters is paid 500 bucks to make a script for SLRO scenes and then stills owns the script. The 500 bucks are only an incentive to make scripts for SLRO scenes in general.
petermc I suppose the message is, if you love stuff, buy it/download it and then you won’t lose it. That’s why I still buy my favourite music, movies and tv shows on physical media so I’ve got them forever and I’m not at the mercy of a streaming service removing them.
That's true but we're specifically talking about SLRO scenes here. Netflix productions don't vanish from Netflix either since there is zero reason for it. 3rd party content is a whole different story.
