I can see current VR as being transition to super realistic all sense experience. It's like projecting your dreams into reality. There won't be age, sex or body constrains to enjoy great things in VR connecting with other great people all over the planet. There's still a way ahead and that's what drives us to get in things like passthrough, haptics and all the innovations we are accomplishing.

Back to more day to day operation.
We target users who prefer the best streaming as it's clean, comprehensive was to consume things. There will be a constant flow of new content coming and streaming is best set to get you the best thing of your personal taste in no time based on your past preferences and current choices.
Disclaimer. I do have a respect for download people thus we are providing the best in class Originals download source quality. Yet we won't be investing our limited resource budget in extra downloads encodings as it's a costly operation and some very few people would appreciate it compared to our abundant streaming userbase.

We put a lot of effort to come up with content suggestions, exposing the best moments in the videos in Shorts, improving search and other things. Can't wait to release shared BYOJ and greatly fine tune it with object tracking, advanced checkbox tools and make it work with handstracking so you can grab things in videos with your own hands.

And super big thing is multiuser. Where you can have your own private parties or join others to meet strangers. I can see some cool folks getting people around in VR something like top cam or OF girls.

I've outlined our current haptics efforts in a separate thread https://forum.sexlikereal.com/d/3569-slr-haptics-effort and there will be much more to it.

Also we are looking to greatly improve our current playback with all the great things from https://forum.sexlikereal.com/d/3544-deovr-v-heresphere/ and more getting live. Dev team is super motivated to bring things up to the next level.

There are more directors joining Originals exploring new ways of ultimate VR satisfaction. Can't wait to see our beloved Mutiny to put his hands into production. Know that Alex Mack guy? he starts directing for us now. Hopefully we can get something from our Manny guy. And our superstar Andy Zane https://twitter.com/andyzanexxx/ to get back into production (one day).

Big hopes to introduce OnlyFans functionality to interact with performers that will be also getting 3% from their video sales once they verify accounts.

Can't wait to get real amateurs start filming VR. Trying to figure it out.

That's more or less it for now. Love you all.

i feel like theres no way those haptics suits will catch on

really sad that its going to remain a choice between poor video quality and ludicrous file sizes with nothing in the middle

is alex mack performing for slr or only directing?

      spacepirate really sad

Indeed. That puts an end to this discussion...

Still, I don't get one thing (and please note this concerns only the super huge SLRO original files, not the original files from all other studios): Which customer group is served by this? Who is the target audience? Obviously not the streamers and apparently also not the majority of downloaders who would be happy with the more than decent quality of bitrates of somewhere between 40 and 90 Mbps (instead of 190 and the insane file sizes that come along with it).

SchnuppiLilac what it serves is the equivalent of drowning an auditor with 20,000 boxes of paper. They clearly don’t want us to download despite what gets said to the contrary. Action speaks so much louder than words.

even the title of this thread (currently The logic behind SLR explaining everything) what it says to me is “stop bothering us with questions about what we’re doing and why!”

doublevr changed the title to SLR vision and logic .

SchnuppiLilac majority of downloaders who would be happy with the more than decent quality of bitrates of somewhere between 40 and 90 Mbps (instead of 190 and the insane file sizes that come along with it)

It’s up to you to pull that down (good luck if you have data caps or maximum 10 Mbps connection in your town). After two days, once you have that raw original, it’s now up to you to re-encode to the quality and size that made the most sense in the first place.

I haven't been here very long but there seems to be this weird disconnect between a site that wants to go in 9000 different conceptual and technological directions and a site that doesn't want you to download too much because they have limited resources.

I just want some good looking VR scenes with more than 10 seconds of story. I'm gonna be long dead before all of this haptic hologram virtual ecosystem stuff will be anything near usable for most people. I'm still wearing a glorified Android phone on my head.

argyle43 what it serves is the equivalent of drowning an auditor with 20,000 boxes of paper

To be honest, I was thinking the same thing. Nobody seems to need the super huge SLRO files at this point. It would take no additional resources to encode them in two instead of three digit bitrates in the first place. The files would cause less traffic and need less storage space, so SLR would even save some resources. But sure, if it's true that more than 99.9 % of customers are perfectly happy with 22 Mbps 8K or less (even the 4K h.264 client base seems to be more relevant), then I can understand why there is no real need for SLR to change anything.

Would have been nice to have a high bitrate download alternative but as long as there is an original to download I'm pretty satisfied. Just bought a 18tb drive so...

argyle43 he's too lost in his own sauce to realize the horrible state the foundation is in. I have zero problems with them doing R&D and expanding features, but only if they keep a good foundation (quality SLR videos). Instead he's up in the rafters tinkering while the foundation's quality gets worse and worse. Meanwhile competitors are putting out better and better content, with stories and lighting and high bitrates with great models.

bobbytables You are so right. For me if the other site with almost the same videos minus the amateurish stuff can get scripts then its game over. They make really high quality videos week after week.

doublevr I’m just here to watch VR porn! A lot of what you are talking is pie in the sky, years and years away from being a reality. If and when you get there and people have the equipment to take advantage of it, great. Right now though, as you have said, there’s a long way to go. How about then, for now, just releasing the top quality VR porn we all want to see and pay for and doing your R&D behind the scenes instead of releasing these primitive looking passthrough scenes that are neither one thing nor the other and don’t work in any meaningful way for most customers.

all i want SLR to be is a good portal/aggregator of VR porn releases from as many sources as possible, all in one place. nothing else.
i dont need anything else, just as much good content as you can get on the platform.

That's @doublevr's speech for joining the World Economic Forum or WEF. That's essentially what they were all saying in the lectures I heard. We're no longer human, we're existential digital beings.

For now just focus on good film-making (great job Alex Nashe) and a decent story and casting. Right now, in my opinion, SLR is wanting in narrative quality. Every scene, or at least too many of them, concern kinky family sex fantasies. You heard it here first: I've heard rumors that certain credit companies might be blocking the sale of that next, so spend your time and money on better narratives!

I think you should keep the original files option up to 30 or 40 GB. Anything larger than that should be divided in half, with the halves released separately.

Haptics are a little far down the line, though the devices one day may be extremely profitable for the niche group that wants that experience.

Thanks for that! Don't think of an Elephant! See how my username has infected your thinking 😉

I hate multi-part releases. Hate them!! Proper bitrate encoding as already mentioned could easily create a sweet spot download size while maintaining perfectly acceptable view quality. Streaming customers don’t then have to have their experience interrupted and be frustrated waiting to get to the climactic parts. I pray this suggestion is summarily ignored/rejected and the logical arguments made by others above (see SchnuppiLilac) about download files be properly reconsidered!

Any others feeling passionately about this (I know a lot of you are out there) please speak up as well, we really don’t need this lunacy ruining content around here further.
