UI customizations.
Been asking to be able to zoom out the UI much further for as long I can remember.
Having to turn your head to use the UI is very annoying, you can never see the whole UI at once.

Imagine you're playing a game, and to see the map you have to turn your head all the way to the left, but to change the map options, you have to turn your head all the way to the right.

I'm not asking to change the defaults, just that we can zoom it out more.

I thought that was just a Quest issue with menu interfaces in general, but yeah, that definitely happens in DEO. In the meantime, the workaround is just to hold the Oculus button to recenter. The ghost controller disappears from your field of view (it's behind your head, so you can still see it if you lean back far enough).

Thx guys for all the insights. We are processing these internally and will follow up on every aspect. There's definitely a way for improvement.

We already confirmed there's a memory issue crashing the app and will be fixing it shortly.

You can expect greatly revamped SLR app and Deo as the team got shifted to a super performing lead who has been driving things for years in his small capacity. Now he is leading the whole project and expectations are really high.

doublevr Okay, let's get this sorted.

Please suggest things you like about HS that you don't find on pars in Deo.

Now this is great customer service!

I'm going to second some of the above from my experience:

    • Better image quality for some reason. Not sure why--just feels more immersive.
    • Integrates with other websites.
    • Reorienting playback screen and GUI with one click--and all you need to do is direct your gaze to where you want it.
    • Better 2D support. A user can play multiple flat videos, I think up to 12 at once, like a giant curved wall of porn. This can be quite an experience if you're into gooning.

Mutiny I agree you can work around it. However I kinda cheat it by moving my head closer then i would normally sit, recenter then lean back. I do this as I find the UI and other elements to be to close with my vision.

@doublevr one other thing, not saying the other player has this but ability to zoom out more within deo on the landing page would be super solid.

Heresphere is great in providing a lot of customizations, yet the UI is a bit too complicated.

edited I have a few things to suggest, but to give accurate info I need to compare bsck to back.

The first thing I notice whenever I use DEO in my quest 2, after using heresphere for a while is that every single action/input in DEOVR takes much longer to take affect and requires several seconds of loading time. Usually about 4 seconds.

    Search? 4 seconds loading time.
Next page? 4 seconds Loading time.
Select tag? 4 seconds Loading time.
Select studio? 4 seconds loading time.
Start playing video? 4 seconds loading time.
Finish playing video? 4 seconds loading time.

It feels like I'm spending just far too much time watching these loading dots dancing around in front of a black void instead of finding a porno to watch.

For me that's usually dozens of 4 seconds periods where my brain is momentarily switching from a variety of exciting visual stimulus on-screen to precisely none at all. And then back again.

On heresphere everything responds almost instantaneously. All stimulis all the time. No waiting. It's basically buttery smooth like a good user interface should be.

In heresphere the worst case scenario is maybe a slight delay between the first item to appear on screen and the last.

Also I can move pages forward or backwards with left or right on the control stick.

It wasn't until I started doing this that I realized how tedious it is to aim at the little button for the next/previous page

To me this increased responsiveness dramatically makes the interface more relaxing to use. To the point where DEO feels comparatively clunky boring and tedious.

Can I make a suggestion for deo player...

To "Drag video" you hold hand trigger and index trigger, can yall include the "yaw" with this function. So I can drag and yaw by holding both triggers....

On hs you can drag and yaw at the same time, this be good in pt cuz a few 🤏 videos i had to use the yaw cuz the picture look slanted a Lil, and I had use the yaw slider and i thought well if i could drag and yaw at the same time I wouldn't be using the slider...

🤔 maybe I'll try putting yaw on one of the triggers...

Was just a thought tho 🤷‍♂️

Yup the biggest thing for me is image quality (looks better on HS, maybe it's better at adjusting the frame rate)
and being able to actually repostition the video using the triggers instead of having to click into the settings menu. It's really nice in HS when changing positions (if you want to do that), to just use the triggers to recenter yourself. I know most people stay in one position but it's way more immersive if you try and get your body aligned as closely with what the male model is doing in the video.

I think DEO is suppose to have multi layer buttons. On the xbox controller I can never get it to work. Has anybody been able to make multi layer buttons on an xbox controller? Since I can't get it to work there is not enough buttons for all the different direction settings. Which means I have to pull up the menu and look to the far left to change something. With HS it's all straight in front of you. Although I don't need to do that very often cause I can do it all with the controller.

Since SLR wants to be #1 streaming site then it shouldn't have dots all the time. I am afraid this is never going to change because of how the app is written. I have heard that the HS program is just written a lot better.

Vrsumo2017 yes, the heresphere setup for aligning the picture is really intuitive.

Grab the trigger and orientate the quest controller as if you were holding the camera.

Simple. No menus or sliders needed on screen. No unterruptions.
You don't have to consciously think about it, coz it's just common sense.

Though one of the biggest issues with HS is that's it's TOO much control imo. There are so many settings/parameters you can mess around with but there's not much tutorial or explanation on what they actually even do. I've been trying to get the creator to simplify the design a bit...take away some of the options because 9/10 times you don't need to even use them and they kind of get in the way and make it more confusing than it has to be. DEO is much more user-friendly in that regard.

DEO also takes forever to boot up. HS when launched is loaded in like less than 5 seconds...for me DEO takes well over 10 seconds and sometimes it's been over 20. A small thing but enough of a difference to mention.

HS has no Passthrough settings at all though, so DEO clearly wins there as you guys are already integrating that into the app and trying to make it better and HS doesn't even have that capability at the moment.

Hurto11 Thx for making a great point. Improving Deo response time is definitely a priority 👍

metaverse Just hold both triggers and you be able to move around the picture.

That's helpfull too, ive started using that more instead of the trigger for pitch, but it just for Side to side up and down, hs you can do that plus twirl the your wrist for the yaw, you have to use it to see what I mean.

On deo I'll push both triggers but sometimes it'll bring up the player menu, it's like you gotta hit the triggers just right to use the function. 🤷‍♂️

And rarely do I have to use the yaw, so it's really not that big of a deal, but interesting how hs "trigger hold" works. And it does move smoothly like a camera

Hs has free demo with all functions if anyone else wanna use it.

Really that's all i think deo needs
That trigger thing we talking about
          A lil Better sharpen 🤏
And more zooming % in the 6dof and be able to zoom in and out while it's on.
Which is called "motion" in hs
          Edit: Oh and SMB SUPPORT!

All that other stuff, Tagging videos making Playlist...I don't need that, but that's just me.
