Will65 You could always learn to script and earn money doing so
Not only could it be an extra income, but you could also script your favorite scenes that are currently unscripted.

wow. I guess we should just shoot the scenes we hope to see as well? why bother subscribe to any service at all?
argyle43 wow. I guess we should just shoot the scenes we hope to see as well? why bother subscribe to any service at all?
We have over 20k scenes on the site, with over 1000 of them being scripted and with more scripts added every week.
If there are scenes you (or any user) would like scripted, you can request that they be scripted, or alternatively you can keep your fingers crossed and hope they will be. We're also always looking for more people who would like to script since there is a huge demand and always more scenes being released than can physically be scripted on a daily and weekly basis.
I'm not sure why this is a controversial thing?
justsomedude101 truthfully I couldn’t care less about the scripts. it was the response and its tone that I felt compelled to remark over. seems to be becoming the norm, sad to say.
justsomedude101 it's a controversial thing because there is seemingly zero emphasis on prioritizing the most popular scenes. So many of the most popular scenes are passed up and meanwhile scripts are happening for strip teases. i'm not sure why SLR keeps bringing up quantity in every discussion, when every user is clamoring for quality.
bobbytables I hear you, and this is another reason why I often bring up that we're always looking for more scripters.
It's a time-consuming process with a steep learning curve, and some scenes are far, FAR more difficult to script than others. A threesome/foursome/etc. could be insanely time-consuming for a pro, and all but impossible for someone who is newer and/or works at a slower pace. This is imho why scripts for SLRO threesomes+ often take some additional time to come out, since they require substantially more time and effort. A b/g scene is generally much more straight-forward. We'd love for every scene to be scripted, but we'd need far more people to do it.
That's also another thing that's being worked on behind the scenes and has been in discussion for a while: revamping the process so scripters have more time with a scene prior to release (aka what this thread is about).
justsomedude101 Because, as usual, you don't address the actual objection that was raised. People in this thread are complaining about their subscription dollars being wasted on content they can't (or don't) enjoy - especially as that content is AR, not VR which is what we pay for. My specific objection (and that of the person I responded to) is that not only do you waste precious subscription dollars on this experimental nonsense, you also waste scripters' time (which is arguably more precious due to its scarcity). Here I am, yet again, wasting my time explaining an obvious objection while you talk about how many scripts there are and how long they take. We know! So stop wasting their time on stuff like this.
Will65 Because, as usual, you don't address the actual objection that was raised.
Fair. Here is a specific response, some of which I didn't bother with originally since it's something we've personally discussed back and forth before:
1.) The scripters decide which scenes they script. You don't seem to believe this, which is fine, but your belief is pretty much irrelevant to the reality. I'm not sure what else to say on this one, trying to be blunt without being a jerk, even though I know you'll still claim it's a lie.
2.) I'm sorry if you don't like scripts being made for Passthrough scenes. There are plenty of scripts for scenes that I don't personally enjoy. But most of the Passthrough scenes have been very popular, despite it being a heated topic over the past week+. If they stop being popular, it's entirely possibly that they will stop having scripts made for them. But again, that is up to the folks who script the scenes. Their popularity (aka time streamed/downloads) + their being comparatively short b/g scenes instead of a 2 hour multi-girl scenes would probably go a long way towards explaining why they are receiving scripts. Just a hunch though, since I don't personally script.
But I'm sleepy and done for the night, so until next time
justsomedude101 Ok here is an idea. How about if a scene is longer then the scripter gets more money. Or better yet if you are short on scripter then why not make a class where you teach people and hire then with a full time job it do it. You guys throw money at everything to make all this new stuff. You are the only site that makes scripts so spend money one it. I know you will say that you are trying to but just saying in the forum every once and a while that you are looking for scripters is not really throwing money at it. I would maybe do it but I have know idea where to start.
rerun119 Here ya go! https://forum.sexlikereal.com/d/1443-try-creating-your-own-interactive-sex-toy-scripts-step-by-step-tutorial
They're really open to questions/help, especially with the constant backlog. I'm sure they'd appreciate it if you wanted to learn and take on the types of scenes you'd like to see scripted. And you can get paid!
Will65 Still not scripted. Since this came out we have another green, a euro, a JAV and a gangbang
We also have another Nash scene since then too.
These are never going to get scripted anymore because tomorrow is a 7 on 1 so that will be priority for SLR.
I don't watch a lot of the SLR scenes because I want to wait until it is scripted.
I promise I will stop writing on here if SLR will just go back to great Nash scenes with scripts coming out soon after, even better if they would come out with the script like the green or JAV videos do. That is what I gave my money for
rerun119 Yeah, its looking more and more like I will just cancel, and mourn the SLR that was. Giving feedback is great and all, but not when it just goes in one ear and out the other and they keep moving in the wrong direction anyway. Its a shame though - the first time I watched SLR Originals was the first time I looked at a studio's work and thought, "Yes. This studio gets how to use this medium and tech." Now, they just don't anymore, despite so many people on these forums pleading with them to stop messing with perfection.
I guess they really didn't get it at all - it was just one of many phases they went through, and they happenned to luck into the perfect formula without even knowing it, and then move right out of it again. Such a shame
justsomedude101 The scripters decide which scenes they script.
See, but yet again, this is misleading. You act as if SLR has no control AND has no avenue to control. Yet, I l know from my conversations with your scripters that some studios have deals with the scripters to ensure their scenes getting done. VREdging is a prime example - every video is scripted, and always on release day. This happens because they have made a deal with a scripter or scripters to ensure that it happens. SLR Originals is a studio, is it not? SLRO could also make such a deal, and the problem would be largely solved for a lot of us. Instead, there are all these post that amounto a shoulder shrug asking "What can we do? Its not in our control." You have a path to solving it - pay them! Exert you influence - and our subscription dollars - towards bettering a service that we already pay for and which needs attention.
The frustration, as always, is with the misleading responses and refusal to do anything when other studios obviously have.

Maybe that's not the best way of searching for scripters but you can't say that they don't try to improve the situation...
Will65 We're actively working to improve virtually every aspect of the app, site, SLR Originals, and interactive content. There have been quite a few threads in the past week especially that have broached these subjects, both conversations started by SLR and ones started by members of the community, many of which you may have seen already. The conversation around all these topics has been intense in the past 2 or so weeks within the team, and I think we have a lot of exciting plans in place now that are a bit more solidified/clear than they were before.
Sorry if you feel like my response was misleading. Technically you're correct. "Throwing money at it" would be a theoretical solution for basically 90% of the world's problems, but unfortunately it's not always realistic/practical/etc. etc. etc. In this case what we really need, as I've said before, is more people who would like to script and earn money doing so, which is one of the many things we're aggressively working on.
justsomedude101 unfortunately it's not always realistic/practical/etc.
"We don't want to pay the scripters to ensure that our Originals drop with scripts on release day like other studios do"
See how much clearer that is?
I promise you that I'm not deliberately trying to be snarky, but that is the truth.
justsomedude101 what we really need, as I've said before, is more people who would like to script and earn money doing so
More independent contractors who work when they feel like it and script what they feel like means more inconsistentcy in quantity, quality, and timing - not to mention that it also means we'll get more scripters scripting years old stuff from every janky studio in your Netflix world, while top-notch Originals go unscripted for months. Stop trying to double down on what's broken.
justsomedude101 you can request that they be scripted
Where's that "request script" button we were told was coming like a year ago? I could have coded that feature in 45 minutes, and yet, here we are.
And please don't respond with a job posting for website coders. I don't want to work for you.
Jesus fucking christ.
The entitled crybabies in this thread.
"How dare you spend MY subscription money on a scene that didn't make be hard!"
Really fellas? That's how you wanna play this?
Not every scene is going to be your thing, deal with it and stop crying.
I subscribe almost exclusively for the anal scenes but you don't hear me having a cry about them "wasting my money" on things other peoole are into.
95% of scenes don't have what i like best. That's life.
I love the passthrough content, i like to see virtual women in the same bedroom that i fuck actual women. It's becoming my new favorite thing in vr.
To me that's the closest thing porn has ever come to realism, even with the technical limitations of a black and white camera on my quest 2.
When I eventually upgrade, it will be specifically because of passthrough porn.
please make as much passthrough content as possible, (and more anal please) and experiment the fuck out of passthrough so it can become even better.
For those who are sooking.
The SLR library has 15,764 scenes as of right now. More if you toggle JAV.
When it comes to variety, your subscription goes a long way.
If you want to bitch about them releasing a new scene that you don't like with a model you do like. You need to get a grip and temper your expectations.
Has nobody ever told you "you're not that special. Everything isn't always about what you want"?
Will65 Where's that "request script" button we were told was coming like a year ago?
Good call out. I'll follow up on this.
For the rest, I think we've pretty much reached the natural endpoint of this conversation. We're working on improving multiple aspects of the scripting process.
