Advocating for the stuff you like isn't absurd. It's absurd not to do it. It's up to SLR to decide what they want to do and whose tastes and expectations they want to satisfy. It's not my job to be nice to everyone, I pay money here in order to get as much back as I can. That's how capitalism works (and sorry, but we still live in capitalism).

BML5768 SLR subscription prices stay at where you subscribe at. So that's just false. I've been a sub for 3+ years and its still the $15/month deal I was offered (Thanks SLR, that's a great deal). I'm pretty sure they aren't raising costs on people who have paid for a lifetime sub years ago either.

It only stays the same if you stay subscribed without interruptions. And even then it's still one of the most costly sites in the whole world of porn right now. It's only understandable that people want to get the most out of it for themselves.

In reality, it means that they use resources and money on certain things and that they can't use the same resources and money on certain other things. That's exactly the concept of opportunity costs.. People aren't unhappy about getting less they are unhappy because they don't get more. And they are especially unhappy that certain very sparse resources (like editing capabilities and scripting resources) might spread thing to get all these new things covered as well. Resources aren't endless in reality, they are actually incredibly sparse. The VR porn business is a pretty niche business with only a very limited pool of resources. SLR struggles heavily to properly scale their business with noticable bottlenecks like scripting. As long as these bottlenecks aren't gone people have very good reason to be upset. And even if there are no bottlenecks at all they can still be unhappy about the direction SLR takes - and they have all right to voice their opinion without being called "crybabies" or whatever.

              1. That's not necessarily true. The more revenue SLR generates, the more resources they have to produce content.
              2. That's a two way street. Its paying subscribers who are asking for the new content they want with their subscription dollars.

The ideal business decision would be to provide your long term customers the content they want and ALSO add content that customers are asking for.               As you can go look at for yourself, and I pointed out, they are getting more. The majority of the extra videos added to the schedule are regular genre VR videos. Go look at the last months releases, like I said.

                    That's not a binary question. I'd be happy that there were more scenes but I'd also be unhappy that some of the additional scenes were scenes that I can't or don't want to watch.
                    You know, the world isn't only black and white and people are complex beings. It sounds weird but people are usually more unhappy about lost opportunities than not having much in the first place. If I only have X and there isn't more than X and I don't know that there could be more than X I'm completely happy with X. But if there is now x+1 and I know that there could be x+2 as well, x+1 feels a whole lot less satisfying than x ever felt although x+1 is factually more than x. That's why poor people in isolated regions don't really feel poor. People feel poor when they look at rich people, even though they migtt have a lot less than the objectively poor people in isolated places. That's how our brains work, we always compare stuff. IF SLR is clever - and it seems that they finally grasp human psychology - they separate stuff in different channels and might even offer different subscription models. If you don't have to look at the things and deal with the things that could have been but aren't it's a whole lot easier not to think about them and being happier in general.

                          I think you're right too. Keep the 2-3 weekly normal videos on a set schedule under the normal channel and add the new ones under something else. That will hopefully keep the more selfish side of human nature you described under control.

                              That's why it would have been a lot better if something like passthrough that is actually a completely different form of "headset porn" (VR vs AR/MR) had been separated into a different channel or even a different site from the very start. Those interested in it could have checked it out there and everybody else probably wouldn't even have taken big notice in the first place. Separate sub could have been an option but not necessarily.

                              Just to name a little but powerful detail: Why is there a JAV filter but no passthrough filter? I can easily navigate on SLR without all that censored JAV stuff and most of the times I don't even think about it being there at all. Passthrough scenes are cluttered into the regular SLRO releases though and you literally can't avoid them right now. So you are forced to deal with them, to think about them - and to think about the lost opportunity by just checking out the upcoming scenes or the latest SLRO releases.

                              Or take the burger joint example: It would have been better if they just opened a pizza restaurant next door. 😉

                                    @BML5768 @Jacksonjdr94 Here is the point of frustration that maybe you guys weren't members when it all started.

                                    I became a member when SLR started making the greatest VR scenes out of every other studio. Then I bought a lifetime membership. I was very happy at first with everything. SLR made epic scenes in 2021 and the early months of 2022.

                                    Then they got the 8K camera and immediately the scenes became unwatchable to me. The epic scenes were done completely. All of a sudden the women were giant with scaling problems. At that point I had nothing coming in from SLR that was watchable. This kept going on and on for months. They made tons of scenes without even knowing that looked horrible. Even if you say you don't care that the girls look bigger its still not what it was the year before.

                                    So at that point it was frustrating that SLR made so many 8K videos that we had to just wait for months to get through them all. All I could do was keep my fingers crossed that it was finally going to end and we would go back to the epic scenes that came out, at this point 6 months earlier.

                                    My prayers were answered when they finally ran out of 8K. So now it's time for the good scenes again. But instead of saying sorry about that we will make it up to you with amazing scenes like before they went and added a bunch of other teams around europe that couldn't shot scenes. The second the 8K ended they start putting euro scenes up that are subpar. So now we are still not back to epic scenes almost every time. I'm sure you can say not every scene is for me and I get that. But in 2021 almost all of them were good quality with great lighting and stories and scaling.

                                    From my point of view instead of trying to fix the 8K debacle with making great again they just start adding subpar teams to push out more videos.

                                    I'm going to talk for everybody that is mad and say we feel like SLR doesn't understand what we liked in the first place. When 8K was going on we never said give me more shitty video than I get now. We never said I'll take lower quality if you just make a JAV team or euro team or start spending your time with green videos.

                                    We are just frustrated that SLR use to make amazing videos every week. Now they make JAV, euro, green and all still not the same quality in ANY of them as 2021.

                                    If you are new and love green then good for you. It's not about you. It's about SLR as a whole not prioritizing quality anymore.

                                      rerun119 This is all constructive feedback, so thanks for taking the time. There have been quite a few extensive internal discussions around SLRO quality recently, particularly in the past week+. Some of it was discussed in this thread if you didn't see it, and it's something that is an absolute focus for all of us going forward. We're working on it and will continue to work on it.

                                      And this giant wall of text below not really directed at you, more just a general bit of info to make sure no one thinks SLR is finding random people off the street to shoot new VR content 😅

                                      4 out of the 6 current production teams have been shooting with us since 2021 or earlier. We've so far only added the 2 new teams "recently" (including the JAV team) that have actually shot and released content.

                                      Alex Nash obviously leads one of those production teams. GFE: HazelTreat, the Ripped Tights series, Pleasure Trip, and plenty of others in 2021, along with many more since.

                                      VRFanService also obviously leads one of those teams. Busted!, All Grown Up, Latex Dreams Come True, and a huge number of other great scenes in 2021 (and through today's release) were by his team.

                                      In FL we have Simsense Media. In 2021 his team had "Make Plays, Not Grades", "Working Up a Sweat", and "Welcome Party with a Bang" among many others since then. He also shoots the Passthrough scenes for us currently, along with standard scenes (such as the upcoming Emma Bug and Lily Starfire releases).

                                      "Tom" in the EU has shot most of our Euro content, though my understanding is that the most recent Euro scenes were collaborations shot by a production team we hadn't used before for SLR content. We also had someone in place to manage the overall production of EU SLR Originals who is no longer in that position. I don't really feel comfortable going into any more detail on either of those topics, but sufficed to say we are also not satisfied with the quality and reception of some of the recent EU scenes. On the other hand, Tom shot basically all the Euro scenes that many folks love: "Si, Mi Amor", all of Agatha Vega's scenes, etc.

                                      The new active production team we've added in the US is led by Alex Mack, who has so far released "My Stepbrother's Girlfriend" and "Cooking is not a forte for a Sex Goddess". If anyone isn't familiar with Alex, look him up. Been a performer himself for quite a while as well as directed a lot of great content.

                                      And I can't really share details on the JAV production team only because they are something of a mystery to me tbh, "SLR Japan" is something I'm not super involved with.

                                          justsomedude101 I will add that after I wrote this I watched the most recent SLR scene by @vrfanservice. That is an amazing scene, one of the greatest SLR has ever made. If you get back to NOT check box porn and make a believable story than I will be a happy camper again.

                                              rerun119 Imho @vrfanservice can be the very best in the industry, even better than Nash. It's a bit of a gamble though since the quality varies a lot. Non-warehouse scenes are almost aways a whole lot better than the warehouse scenes.

                                              Melody's GOAT scene was also shot by VRfanservice. If any of his scenes were that good SLR would be on a completely different level. The latest scene was a step in right direction, very well executed.

                                                  rerun119 for me definitely one of vrfanservice's better scenes but it has the same recurring problem of poor camera placement in the standing position with the camera being too low (so the chest is cut off and it looks like your eyes are nipple level) and also being too far in front the male actor's body.

                                                  LordCrash Imho @vrfanservice can be the very best in the industry, even better than Nash. It's a bit of a gamble though since the quality varies a lot. Non-warehouse scenes are almost aways a whole lot better than the warehouse scenes.

                                                  i much prefer nash scenes overall but totally agree that vrfanservice has the potential to be comparable. the two biggest areas of improvement needed in my opinion:

                                                  • better sets with more natural light... nash has this perfected
                                                  • camera placement that doesnt feel so unnatural

The reduction of SLR originals quality is a direct result of lowered QC on videos and split focus on productions rather than the entire team focusing on putting out top tier quality VR porn (not passthrough). I can easily speak for most of us that are upset when saying that we would rather be back to 2 or 3 top notch scenes a week than 5 subpar scenes a week smattered with passthrough of models that haven't even shot normal vr porn, low-budget euro stuff, and total lack of QC on the normal stuff (i.e. compare the raw taboo freya scene vs the xxlayna scene with apryl, same house and same raw taboo, much worse quality).

The person saying only 20% of users like PT clearly has no idea what he is talking about and neither can I make any kind of wild assumptions to the contrary. Classic case of how people think everyone thinks like themselves. Also, marketing statistics 101 says people will speak up about a complaint of a service that don't like at a rate around 3X that of people who speak up about complimenting a service they like.

                                                                          So don't be swayed by all the complainers or even my compliments about your PT progression and go by the stats on your service. I see PTs getting lots of favorites and hopefully you can track when someone saves them in a folder (or whatever you call it) because that is what I do for my PTs. I use my favorites for other videos that I like but don't have a specific category for.
