Yeah, me too.
Good luck finding one though.
By the time a new batch is ready, DeoVR might (MIGHT) be ready. Heresphere, I don't think so. No idea if they will port it. However, it may run via Virtual Desktop.
Pico 4
Found this on Czech

"Currently I do not see HereSphere on the Pico store. However it's an android device and HereSphere is not a from scratch product. It uses Unreal Engine. This makes it very likely it could run on a Pico.
If you already have a pico 4 you could try downloading the demo APK file the Quest 2 uses:

Hope this helpful
valerianVR The VR movies look much better on the Pico 4. I have discovered that the increased FOV (particularly when the spacer is not used) gives a stronger sense of immersion. The angle can be changed by re-centering the screen, including laying on side or back. But the video player doesn't have fancy controls like Skybox. Twitching the joystick to the left or right will jump 10 seconds forward or back.
what about a web browser? do vr camsites work in it?
The built in pico browser was able to support SLR videos directly from the website every time I tried on my Pico4 The only limitations so far is when selecting which quality it only goes as high as 1920 and the low is 1080. However once you enter VR mode and watch the video it takes you into a web browser version of the SLR app. Again this works as normal but the quality is low. Until SLR app is added or DEOvr is added this works for now. 1920 looks pretty decent so can’t wait to see how a native 2160 will look.

alina That's not my experience at all. Using the Pico 4 browser on the SLR site just gives me the two VR buttons when trying to view a video: "DeoVR" and "SLR app". Cilicking either button brings up a small window which includes a "Pico" tab; selecting it tell me to install the DeoVR app from the Pico Store (but that app is not yet in the Pico store!). I also tried installing the DeoVR app for cardboard Android, but it failed to load on the Pico 4.
alina You could try downloading the higher res vids to the movies folder and playing them natively. Might work. The live streams are often meh quality.
Honkster Oh that ain't good. Seems like random glitches. Maybe try updating the firmware?
Honestly, hope they can sort this all out. The Pico 4 really does look like a good unit, but with all these random issues and glitches, Idunno. It's like one of those Expection/Reality memes.
Probably better to wait till everything is ironed out before ordering. For the rest, hopefully the unit arrives, and SLR DeoVR is up and running same day as unboxing.
So far no updates on the DeoVR forum or Discord I'm afraid.
valerianVR the guys just got a headset. Will start working next week
Once you click on the VR glasses logo then it will enable you to view in VR. However the quality is capped to 1920.
valerianVR oh wow, this is the cheat code. After actually downloading the video onto your pico4 the quality of video is fantastic. I use my oculus go for standalone and hp reverb version 1 for desktop and I think the quality on this is actually better. Will compare reverb vs pico4 but off the bat the first impression was wow.
alina
Nice!
Hopefully DeoVR will have everything set up soon, till then, nice little hack.
I did this on my GO when DeoVR and Skybox were having odd connection issues.
Troubleshooting for 2 days when all you want to do is watch a movie is not fun.
Pico 4 has nice amount of memory too.
Try downloading the vids that are WAAAAY beyond Pico 4 max resolution. Do they look better? Does the machine lag or skip frames?
Honkster
Maybe try a total cold start. Turn unit completely off, completely charge off then boot up and try to update the firmware.
Maybe post your firmware version and then compare with Alina's.
I'm wondering if that's all it is, fingers crossed, or it could a be geo issue?
Maybe the vid is too high and it's a bandwidth bottleneck?
