I just ordered the PICO 4 for SLR Passthrough porn!!!

I considered ordering the Pico 4 but in the Pico Store (downloaded the App on my phone) there is no DeoVR (neither if i select Pico 4 nor Neo 3 Link. I saw that this issue was adressed in a post on the DeoVR forum. Can you actually confirm that there is a working Pico App and tell me why ita not showing in the store?

Since its an android, it might support the quest 2 apk.

IF not -> sidequest will allow you most likely to sideload the Heresphere app

Pico 4 looks like a great headset. It has pass-through capabilities in 16 megapixels, but be aware that the output is mono (only one camera).

[deleted] yeh being only one camera besides lacking 3d effect, i believe messes up scaling. I heard from reviewers things just dont look right, such as ur hands look bigger than they are.. lacking 3d and not being correct scale will have big negative effect on immersion i believe. One of reasons i decided to just wait for the quest 3

you cannot just sideload Quest apps to the Pico. Quest apps have to be ported to be used on Pico 4. The Heresphere dev already mentioned that he would not port it as he is based in US and cant get the headset. Android apps can be ported but they will be 2D only. There seem to be no standalone player option so the only way is to stream via Picos Wireless streaming or Virtual Desktop.

For the money, Pico 4 is the best headset you can get today (but I only use VR for watching film -- classic mostly, occasionally porn...). Today pass-through remains on the horizon, really, except for Quest Pro -- for those of us (you guys!) with $1,550 USD, plus tax, plus postage, plus postage insurance ...

Quest 3 is a year away. It will be costly because the Meta stock is tanking ...

i have a feeling quest 3 could be there last headset, cuz high prices will put off many customers, and so they will sell fewer than the quest 2 and it simply wont be worth them doing more, that sucks, i hope other companies step up like pico or whoever

Ricster89 Hopefully the Quest 3 price stays within the range of the Quest 2 and nothing changes over the next year. In an interview with Stratechery last week, Mark Zuckerberg said "it’s not this year, but there will be a Quest 3 and that’s in the price range of $300, $400, or $500, that zone”.

Honestly???

Well the colors look vibrand I'd say its because of the pancake lenses.
The headset is very comfortable. Its nice that the weight is spreaded on the head.
Passthrough?? I Could see that it could be nice compared with the black and white, but it seems a bit off. I'ts like the scale isnt 1000% proper. I guess my hands look that big in real life too, but through the lenses it seems a bit off somehow. I need to get used it i think. Also Proper light seems to be an absolute dealbreaker. You need to have light in your room.

As of now, ill be using the quest 2 untill the Deovr admins update a version for pico 4

sletje only headset I've had were gearvr and quest 2 right now, with both I've only used the straps, with the pico it has the battery in the back. And other after markets straps for the quest two have that back part in back of the head, I can't imagine how that feels to be laying down and it's behind your head.

How does that work? Is it comfortable or not really noticeable it's behind your head while it rest on a pillow?

Everytime I see those kinda straps I think, well to cant be to comfortable during sum laying cg rcg 🤔

mnmlikereal omg, smh, that's why I never bought an elite strap, I thought...that can't be good to lay down with, I seen one headset with a huge battery on the back, I was like hell nah.

I've ask around before the same question some replied the back of it not that noticeable when laying down.

Idk, hopefully the quest 3 has a strap.
