Anyone else getting the pico 4 upgrade?

Haven't got headset yet. Will take some month or two to accomplish

            sletje Yep, we're always working on updates for all the versions of the apps, including test features like passthrough support. But goes without saying it takes time...especially when the headset isn't even out yet 😅

                I'll be curious to see how the passthrough looks on the Pico. As far as I know, the Pico isnt going to have a color stereoscopic view, no depth, it'll be a flat color view.

                The Quest Pro is supposed to be overlaying their color data over the black and white cameras, so hopefully a feature like this is added to at least the Pico 4 Pro, if not the standard Pico 4.

                I considered ordering the Pico 4 but in the Pico Store (downloaded the App on my phone) there is no DeoVR (neither if i select Pico 4 nor Neo 3 Link. I saw that this issue was adressed in a post on the DeoVR forum. Can you actually confirm that there is a working Pico App and tell me why ita not showing in the store?

                  Since its an android, it might support the quest 2 apk.

                  IF not -> sidequest will allow you most likely to sideload the Heresphere app

                  Pico 4 looks like a great headset. It has pass-through capabilities in 16 megapixels, but be aware that the output is mono (only one camera).

                    [deleted] yeh being only one camera besides lacking 3d effect, i believe messes up scaling. I heard from reviewers things just dont look right, such as ur hands look bigger than they are.. lacking 3d and not being correct scale will have big negative effect on immersion i believe. One of reasons i decided to just wait for the quest 3

                      you cannot just sideload Quest apps to the Pico. Quest apps have to be ported to be used on Pico 4. The Heresphere dev already mentioned that he would not port it as he is based in US and cant get the headset. Android apps can be ported but they will be 2D only. There seem to be no standalone player option so the only way is to stream via Picos Wireless streaming or Virtual Desktop.
