It's quite depressing that in order to buy legal content on DMM / Fanza, you basically have to behave like a criminal hiding behind a VPN.
Damn Mastescard and VISA, who do they think they are to become censors.

Natch As I noted elsewhere, blaming Visa and MC for the closure of R18 is like blaming a hobo farting in Seattle for causing a drought in California.
R18 went frrom millions a year USD in revenue (minimum) to this in six months because their poor staff were not given the very easy tools and permissions to fix minor compliance issues and get foreign-oriented billing.
Punksxc Whether this will be added as a future billing on SLR, I cannot say, but there is a great darn near bulletproof option R18 and others could have added. It wouldn't be as direct as simply typing in your card, but would be the next best thing. Without naming the billing provider, they have two really unique systems: the first is for most EU users (+ AU and soon other countries) where they literally just go to any store, show an anonymous barcode on their phone and pay in cash or any method the store accepts and the second is an eVoucher system where the user is redirected to a page full of reseller sites that from what I've seen accept pretty much every single payment method under the sun and then some (from credit cards (including Amex), PayPal, Alli Pay, Line Pay, a billion local billing options covering pretty much any country one can think up, phone, SMS, and gosh knows what else).
Grenadier This is why so many people pirate JAV and frankly, I find it harder and harder to blame them. We try our best at SLR and elsewhere to provide legal content and are thankful for the continued opportunities to do so, but at the same time, many of the same studios employ no piracy prevention method outside of semi-functional (at best) DRM and seem to look the other way when their brand new content appears right away on pirate sites which makes the issue a bit frustrating at times.
My suggestion for any JAV fan who wants to see change is to continuously, BUT POLITELY, contact studios and keep letting them know they have fans abroad who really want to see their content. This DOES NOT mean to email them every single day, but an actual non copy-pasted email in simple English maybe every month or so could go a long way. JAV studios are also run by humans who do read those emails.
ZENRA I think I will take you up on your suggestion, after all it can do no harm and maybe it will help. I will also provide some links to some of the content that I have purchased (revealing some of my own pecadilloes in the process!). R18 links aren't possible anymore of course, but there should still be links to the same videos on DMM or other sites. I'll concentrate on the VR ones. I was pleased to see similar on SLR (such as the Invisible Man).
Grenadier Just realised it wasn't you who had asked for links!
mebejoe But the US dollar ain't goin stop being the standard currency in my lifetime.
Not to get political, but the fall of America as an international power is pretty much inevitable at this point. All the conditions are right, but it is true that these matters seldom occur as suddenly as, say, the response to COVID-19.
Add to your reading list this classic, which was for many years a foundational text (albeit in excerpt) of the American public education system.

But back on topic, and not unrelated to barbarism and moral decline, I hope more of the R18 back-catalogue migrates to SLR.
tried to get on the site once...found it too busy.
luckily i guess...would be very pissed
found another site that didn't go thru the credit card armageddon to get back some of the clips for download
Now that R18 is closed, where can we purchase javs legally?
rlrqwbzmudgxnyltqc SLR is an option...
ZENRA
SLR only has VR titles though Looks like there is no good way to buy those 2D JAVs outside of Japan.
could be a BIG coup to be able to SELL 2d JAV.
i'd be all over it
get it done
especially with BETTER resolution headsets coming down the pike...watching good quality JAV in the headset will be much better than on laptops....not quite VR, but won't really matter too much
i would pay an extra 200bucks per year for it
also, add tipping on videos...i mean it won't be great for my wallet, though have these cam tokens...would love to give them to producers that make great stuff and hopefully keep em motivated to make more.
