    spacepirate Then you know more than me. Just saying that if they could acquire and incorporate CzechVr into SLT then they would buy more than content alone. But the space🤡 already knows that option is not on the table so my comment was plain stupidity.

      doublevr haven’t seen the new one yet but yeah it probably makes sense to continue using the tried and trusted equipment until you have figured out how to use the new cameras.

      It doesn’t make sense to be trialing it on actual scenes that people are paying for as that causes issues with members and could damage SLRO’s reputation for excellence. Should be getting tested and perfected by the production team behind the scenes before being rolled out for recording actual content.

          petermc I actually enjoyed the foursome lately. Picture clarity was amazing, a lot better than with the 6k rig. I agree that the perfomers appeared a little big too big but I could deal with that for the transition phase. Going back to the old rig would be a step in the wrong direction imho. That way innovation and progression is pretty much impossible.

          And pretty much every studios have some "transition scenes" after they change equipment, especially early adopters and innovation leaders. That's pretty normal imho and part of the process. I rather have a few transition scenes with some issues here and there and then amazing scenes in the future once the tech is dialed in and the experience is there than being stuck with pretty mediocre tech for now...

              Didn't watch the video yet, but why are you considering going back to old camera, why not ask LethalHardcore and VRHush some advice, both use the same Canon 8K camera, and quality is great.

              LordCrash I’m with you, I didn’t mind the foursome either, plenty of people did though so there must have been some issues with it. Scaling may have been a tiny bit off but not to the point where it was super noticeable for me.

              In terms of dialling it in, I just think you should be doing that before you start making content. The trial and error shouldn’t be happening in actual scenes that we watch but in the testing process. Lethal Hardcore didn’t put a bunch of subpar stuff out testing the new camera. Their new stuff looks good straight off the bat as they undoubtedly perfected it beforehand.

              Easy for me to say obviously and perhaps SLRO did test it extensively themselves and thought they’d got it right. Clearly though plenty of people have had issues with it even if I haven’t had too many problems aside from the Harem scene and glory hole scenes which I also didn’t find as unwatchable as some. They were undoubtedly blurry though.

                    ableman Just work out the depth of field and hyper focal point correctly next time. Learn from people who shoot landscapes. They precisely calculate the position to focus at to get the max depth of field.

                    You can not shoot hyperfocal, everything in front of you would be soft, and there most of your attention should go.

                    Also hyperfocal calculators calculate just for "sharp enough" for typical viewing distances. With VR and the image right in front of your eye you need a much sharper image then hyperfocal calculators tell you.

                    It looks already pretty decent, but with Unreal Engine 5 we could nowadays get much better looking backgrounds, and this would be the solution for so many problems, not just consistent sharpness but also exposure, especially outdoor scenes today suffer a lot from the lack of DR of todays cameras.

                          There was absolutely nothing out of focus for me. Watched the downoaded 8k file with HeresphereVR in fisheye mode on my Reverb G2.

                            background was good, the model was out of focus for me.
