Problem with Onyx+ and Oculus Quest 2
casivaro In the main guide, yes, you will need to pair the onyx+ directly, but with the quest:
For ONYX+ Users - You will first need to pair your Onyx+ to your Quest Headset to get it to work using these steps:
From your Quest 2, open the Settings menu
Select Experimental Features
Turn on your bluetooth Onyx+ device and make sure it is detectable, then in the Quest 2, press the Pair button next to 'Bluetooth Pairing'
Select your toy from the list of available devices, and you should be good to go!
IF Onyx+ keeps blinking RED and stopping movement, just increase Your Onyx+ Speed setting several points above 10 in Haptics Connect App settings until the red blinking stops, then start decreasing that setting number to find the border for your device

Sorry for the late reply and thanks in advance, i dont understand the steps, i have these questions
- First i have to pair the quest 2 directly with Onyx+ right?
- in any given moment would i have to use haptics connect? or with the onyx+ is not neccesary?
Thank you.
PS. I tried only pairing Quest2 and Onyx+, the pairing worked but onyx+ didnt do anything in SLR app or DEO VR
- Edited
casivaro I believe we are mailing through support, or is that some one else? Because it sounds the exact same.
Was the Onyx+ at some point paired with another device than your headset?
Can you turn off your headset and let the device connect to your phone (not the haptics app, just the phone's BT).
If it establishes a connection, can you unpair it and disconnect?
Then do the same with your headset, and 'Forget all BT devices'.
Turn off everything, toy, headset, try to avoid other BT transceivers (BT devices that can both send and receive.) - Start the headset again, pair the Onyx+ before opening any apps!
If pairing is done, then launch the HC app.
If you don't get Hello strokes, then it's (still) not working.
But let us know!
I have an onyx plus. It connects, but flshes red, and stops working. I have to shut everything down in order to get itbto work, and then at the start of the next position it does it again. No issue with my keon. Have haptics, and occulus quest 2
UfuckMe413 From the main sex toy guide thread, have you tried this?
"IF Onyx+ keeps blinking RED and stopping movement, just increase Your Onyx+ Speed setting several points above 10 in Haptics Connect App settings until the red blinking stops, then start decreasing that setting number to find the border for your device"
It doesn't work. I tried that before.
When it blinks red, it disconnects
UfuckMe413 After increasing the speed setting and lowering it again, then the moment it goes red again, then repeat the process and set it to 1 higher of where it disconnected.
Any number to start at?
Thanks. I went up past 10 to 65, then went down to 11. Worked from 11
I've followed the steps to connect to the Quest2 BT and it successfully pairs. However, when I play content through the SLR app (sideloaded) the Onyx+ is unresponsive.
I've also sideloaded the Haptics Connect app on the Quest 2 and have no problem connecting and having everything work with my Keon.
After Connecting to the Quest 2 BT, I've also tried connecting the Onyx+ through the Haptics Connect app that I sideloaded. Since I'm already connected to the native BT, the scan in the app never connects. Please help.
Connect it to the haptic app 1st then turn on occulus. It wouldn't work or connect for me if I did the bt to the quest
That totally worked! Thanks!
I've followed all of these instructions. I can bt link my onyx+ to the headset through normal bt and through the haptics connect. I get the "Player is not found in the connected network" in a pink box on haptics connect but am signed in. I get into the app, the connection button is green but no joy when i play a video.
On a side note I cannot choose the radio signal between 2.4 and 5.
This thing has never worked with the app. I get the hello strokes when i connect directly to the oxyx+ through the quests bt and feel connect, but not when connected to haptics connect.
Hi Daverain1967
There are some newer versions of the Onyx+ which may not be recognized by Haptics Connect. The one that it should find is named: Onyx+
Could you please check the name shown in the Bluetooth settings of your phone? Please give us the exact name as shown, and I will try to investigate.
Thanks.
