  • Problem with Onyx+ and Oculus Quest 2

Hi Daverain1967

There are some newer versions of the Onyx+ which may not be recognized by Haptics Connect. The one that it should find is named: Onyx+

Could you please check the name shown in the Bluetooth settings of your phone? Please give us the exact name as shown, and I will try to investigate.

Thanks.

Thanks for your response. Its called Onyx+ in my phones BT and Kiiroo Onyx+ in Haptics Connect.

Daverain1967 Ok that version should work with Haptics.

There's probably an issue connecting from Haptics to the Deo/SLR player. Have you followed the steps over here with Option 2?: https://forum.sexlikereal.com/d/805-interactive-sex-toy-scripts-complete-help-guide-kiiroovorzehandylovense

Please make sure this box has been checked:

@Rakly3 Has more experience resolving this particular issue.
Can you please assist if this doesn't resolve the issue? Thanks.

Daverain1967 If it is paired with any device, please unpair it while it's connected to the device. The toy also has to remain unpaired while connected to the HapticsConnect app.

My question with the instructions is do i connect it to my phone with haptics connect or do i use the haptics connect that i've installed on the vr unit (quest 2) that comes with the slr app?

I have unpaired it from everything but Quest 2 I pair it though haptics, I even tried this with my phone shutoff, but it never stays...it connects and handshakes with the toy and says the player is unavailable. Then when i go into the slr app it doesn't respond and the haptics connect on the vr headset doesn't have a connection any longer.

Daverain1967 Some or all of the following you will already have done. But go over it once please. - It isn't all of the troubleshooting; I just want to establish a baseline first. Or if this fixes it, even better! 😉

You are using the Onyx+, correct? Or is it the Onyx+ REALM or even a FeelPornStar edition?

      • Make sure the toy is not paired with any other device.
        • If the HapticsConnect can not find the toy.
-- Make sure you manually unpaired it from any other device you might have paired it with previously.
-- Turn off the Bluetooth of your other device(s)
-- Make sure the toy is not charging
-- Powercycle the toy. Turn it off and on again. You might have to try this several times., and set it to Bluetooth mode.
        • If the HapticsConnect app can find the toy.
-- Did it make 'handshake' movements upon connecting with the HC app?
-- Try the manual mode of the HC app. Does the toy move?
      • The toy works and connects with HC but the HC app can't find the player.
        • Quest 2: See if you are logged in with the HC app. Log out and in again.
        • Mobile device:
-- Do not use mobile data, use the same Internet/WiFi connection you are using for your headset. Preferably the same bandwidth too (2.4Ghz/5Ghz) - [1] -
-- Go to the SLR website on the same device you are using the HC on, log in, click on your username and navigate to your profile page. On the profile page, you will find a button to connect your account to the mobile version of the HC app. Press it.
        • If the SLR/DeoVR app is already running, log out of your SLR account from within the app and close the app.
-- On the Quest headset, navigate to your device storage settings and remove the app data for DeoVR. - For SLR you will need to uninstall and reinstall the app. Please use the PC or Mac sideloader provided by us on our download page! Do not load the APKs for Android to the headset, these will not work (correctly)!
        • Launch the SLR or DeoVR app if it isn't already, go to sexlikereal.com from within the app and log in to your SLR account.
        • The green indicator light in the lower left of the app, for interactive is red.
--- (NOTE: In DeoVR, the interactive functions only show up when logged in to your SLR account!)
        • Click on the cogwheel icon in the SLR/DeoVR app to open the settings menu and navigate to the interactive settings. Turn on the switch for HapticsConnect. Or switch it off and on again if it already was on.

[1] Both devices have to be on the same subdomain of your home network!
      For example 192.168.0.x and 192.168.0.y
      Not 192.168.0.x and 192.168.1.x
Some routers will use 10.0.0.x If it's still something else, just make sure the first 3 are the same.
If you need help with your home network, even though it's technically not our job, please contact me through support@sexlikereal.com

Rakly3 Thanks! i will try this...in answer to your question is an Onxy+...i've seen the realm referenced but it's not one of those.

SUCCESS! I combined some advice lol

I deleted both the SLR app and the HAPTICS app off of everything. Shut all my other bluetooth devices off, which there were many.

On my Quest 2, I reinstalled the SLR version of Haptics Connect but not the SLR app itself, connected through the haptics connect app and signed in. Then went through the DEOVR app and went to SLR that way...the haptics connect button showed green so i tried a video and it finally responded. Scared the shit out of me even lmao. Almost a year getting this thing to work lol.

One thing i noticed that i hadn't before was that my Quest 2 was connected to my phone's BT, so I unpaired that as well from my phone.

thanks!! you guys are awesome and obviously very patient.

Daverain1967 Scared the shit out of me even lmao
