[Video] SLR JAV AI censoring
albertleder We are looking into it to get the best quality possible. Will have more details once we are getting into production. This is the most challenging production we ever had. Also barely anyone in Japan speaks English
Man i'm excited for the JAV originals.
Can't say much about the mosaic, except i hope the tech you are using will make production easier. I'm sure you know this better than me, but i noticed JAV producers find ways around the censorship, using tight fitting underwear, or dildos for blowjobs. Also for whatever reason assholes are not considered obscene, and i hope you will utilize this fact

There still exist some studios that release uncensored Japanese videos though, but few for VR videos. Wondering how they overcame the issues.
wmfewmgkqoozlnzmnn I am not an expert, but my understanding is that studios that release uncensored content are either not based in Japan, and/or are not releasing content in Japan.
Basically - they are shooting and releasing content specifically for release outside of the Japanese market, and if they tried to release censored content in Japan along with the uncensored versions outside of Japan, it would lead to a long list of legal and industry issues.
Plus there's arguments to be made about the quality/castings/etc. of non-censored JAV vs JAV released inside Japan since they're really two difference industries, but I'll save that for another time.
wmfewmgkqoozlnzmnn It's produced outside Japan with performers that don't shoot in Japan. Studios like Caribbeancom, JVRPorn or CovertJapan have a very limited pool of models.

I don't have some super-secret SLR inside info on this, so these are just my thoughts.
ableman Just a thought, but is the Japanese vr market value really big enough to warrant blanket censoring for both the whole world and Japan…
Yes. Japan is consistently the 2nd highest spending per person (behind S. Korea), and the adult film market as a whole in Japan is worth over 1 billion USD (https://www.statista.com/statistics/1125880/japan-market-size-non-contact-sex-self-pleasure/).
AFAIK the huge majority of content in Japan is pay-per-video, for example with R18.com (which I believe only recently may have started a streaming subscription option?). So SLR entering the market with an unlimited streaming option of higher-quality scenes (as opposed to the common 4k JAV releases) could be absolutely huge.

justsomedude101 yeah, Japan market is huge. And the country and people are fantastic.

How do sites like this exist then? https://www.spermmania.com
They have some western actresses, but most of them are Asian.
Also I remember Maria Ozawa who has appeared in a lot of (censored) Japanese as well as western (uncensored) content.
stefanno don't mind being blacklisted
If the problem is just that the performers are afraid of being blacklisted, then in theory the studio could work around this issue by signing a contract with the performers agreeing that the studio would not release the uncensored version within next 30 years. After 30 years, the performers would probably have already been retired, so they would no longer need to worry about being blacklisted. But I guess there may be other legal issues for the studio if they also want to operate in Japan in addition to other countries.

Of course by the time 30 years comes and goes, the content would have long been obsolete. It would be like us watching scenes on VHS tape: no matter how much I love some models, I don't think I'd suffer through 360p quality for them haha.
30 years from now when we're using holodecks like from Star Trek or something crazy, we'll probably laugh at the quality of even the best current VR scenes.
ableman Generally: scenes were shot outside of Japan, or alternatively were shot inside Japan but released exclusively outside of the country. But tbh that might be a question to ask them since they would know better than us.
So, I'm looking more and more forward to SLR producing JAV--I'd probably pay for a second membership for great content.
I'm on a JAV kick lately and I've noticed that the Japanese studios are not updating quality--the best generally available seems to be 4k. And I'm having trouble finding websites other than SLR that allow downloads--and I don't like most of the streaming apps other than SLR, which I don't know how to use on other websites.
All of this to say, please hurry!
