I’m talking about a dedicated anal site, the equivalent of something like TrueAnal.com, AnalOnly.com, Holed.com or Tushy.com to name just a few. A site that really fetishises anal sex and features all the big name US porn stars like those sites do. Realjamvr are probably the closest to that without really going fully anal as they still have non-anal scenes and don’t really fetishise it. They don’t worship the ass or have girls gaping their assholes etc. For the most part they don’t use the absolute biggest stars either. Decent names certainly but not usually the really big names. Not that I’m having a go at Realjam, they don’t claim to be an anal site and are the one of the very few sites that keep me from bailing on VR porn altogether.

I still think people see anal here as a niche or as harder porn. It’s really not, it’s completely commonplace in 2d porn and pretty much every girl does it. It’s no longer anything out of the ordinary for most porn fans.

petermc This is all 100% just my personal take, but I think we (talking about the VR porn community as a whole) are fast approaching the point where more "niche" studios & content will be able to sustain themselves. We're most definitely already seeing this (and have been for some time) with the number of new independent & amateur studios that have joined SLR. And yeah, there's obviously an argument that can easily be made about whether anal is actually "niche" (spoiler: I don't think it is either).

But when porno mags, or porn VHS tapes, or porn websites all first became a thing, they had to focus on pretty "vanilla" content, since they needed to at first in order to survive by appealing to the widest audience possible. But eventually as the market and user base grew, pretty soon there was content for every imaginable fetish, kink, and niche under the sun- and I think it's only a matter of time before we have this in VR 🤞

I hope so dude. I have noticed that Wankzvr/POVR have done a couple more anal scenes than usual this year so far. It’s still much too rare but a small step in the right direction.

Personally, what I find a pity in the almost totality of the anal scenes in VR, when one passes in cowgirl position, it is almost always in cowgirl leaned back to show the anal penetration well.
Personally I would like to see more cowgirl with the girl leaning on her partner, eyes in the eyes, admiring his face during the anal penetration.

blaze466 Well, I just got my hands on it, not looked at it yet, but a 1.7gb video for 2700p (5k), in AVC with a bitrate of 5700kbps, that's really low.
I have the impression that the quality will be equal to the VR videos found on pornhub (and it's really a pity because the girls and the scenes are interesting, but the quality is really not there).

"How can Brazzers, a huge, world-renowned porn site, be so disrespectful to its virtual reality scene and the actress who plays in it.
No matter which version you download, the bitrate of all your versions is horribly low (at least 4/5 times too low for the AVC codec, 3/4 times if you offered HEVC). The quality of the scene is greatly impacted.
The direction of the scene, the position of the camera, there is nothing to complain about (even if a little close-up on the girl's face at certain moments would be a plus, all VR studios have been doing this more and more for a while).
Your only real problem is the bitrate, we are not on flat porn that we watch on a single screen, but on VR porn with a headset where the video is magnified by the lenses.
Please, if you are going to make other VR videos, reconsider a much higher bitrate and also a frame rate at least double. 30fps is worthy of 2015/2016, but today you need at least 60fps.
And if you decide to go into VR, could you also rework your first scene?
It really looks like a pornhub VR scene, good scenes, good actresses, but such a low bitrate that it's a shame.

GetReal VR porn is slowly taking over it will speed up even faster when the quest 3

I'm not sure, it really depends if they improve the hardware video decode. Right now, Quest 2 can do 8K 60 FPS. For Quest 3, I predict the same, 8K 60FPS for video. Gaming performance and senors will improve in the Quest 3 for sure, but Oculus does not have a really good motive to change the video decoder, cause they make money by selling apps and games, given they don't sell porn. I really want the decoder to be better, maybe even 8K 120FPS. Personally, I think we are stuck on 8K 60FPS for a long time, like 5 years or more. Like that decode HW was probably made for 8K TVs, not with VR porn in mind. So unless there is another application that needs hardware decode greater than 8K 60 FPS, I don't think we are going to get it.

Even if that ends up being true, on the bright side there is a hell of a lot of difference between a 4k scene shot 5 years ago and a 4k scene shot today. SexBabes scenes are a great example: their current scenes are released in 5k, but compare the quality vs a 5k scene released from 2017 and you'll see a night and day difference.

Luckily there is so, SO much more to creating a quality visual and engaging experience beyond just raw resolution, and studios are always working to improve their visuals and overall engagement in ways beyond just the scene dimensions.

OLED instead of LCD is one improvement that the Quest 3 could have. Quest 2 is suppose to have the best type of lenses, but I guess they can improve that too. And finally, they can improve the FOV (but for porn, you are looking at one direction usually). Adding codec support for AV1 would be good too, as it is suppose to be more efficient than H.265.

That being said, I would still be happy with the Oculus Quest 2 for the next 5 years. It's price so well. Other headsets may come out, but could be priced much higher. 6k, 7K and 8K already look amazing. Before the quest 2, I don't think there were any standalone VR devices that supported 8K video. So 8K is new, and is likely not going to be higher for more than 5 years. AMD GPU/APUs haven't even supported hardware 8K. Their newest APUs, ryzen 6000, do, but they are just hitting the shops, slowly. NVIDIA GPUs had 8K since 1000 series.

BlueSky3290 Oh, for sure. I was basically just trying to point out that we're just barely taking our first baby steps into 8k content. The VR porn community as a whole I mean. And there is so, so much more potential growth with that specific format.

Plus yeah, as you and @blaze466 said- better headsets are 100% the most critical element in the near future haha.
