  • Please bring old UI back

Also want to add that I generally am fine with the new UI, except for having commonly used functions buried under a couple of layers of menus. That's really my only fault with it.

I think it looks good!

i'm seeing more screen door effect....just looking at the main page to select a video to watch.

WORSE CASE....need the pitch/zoom/speed on the main page. the pitch needs to constantly be adjusted with every single change within a scene and it's a real boner killer to have to navigate screens

it should be noted for this thread that SLR has been caught using alt's on reddit to "agree" with them. One was caught because he forgot to switch back to the smurf account and instead responded as SLR. Might happen in this thread with random people who pop into a complaint forum just to say "i have no issues"

[deleted] blaze466 I also have no issues with the updated app, aside from the minor gripe of extra sub-menus and that it looks a bit less sleek to my eyes. That's about it for me, otherwise I'm totally indifferent to it. Used it quite a bit over the weekend catching up on scenes and worked perfectly fine for me.

And I've mostly kept out of the DLNA conversations since it doesn't affect me at all as I don't use a Quest 2 and can play files locally, though I can sympathize with the dudes who are frustrated or upset by it.

Not having the big issues others are having but I only use tilt and occasionally zoom and they are on the controller. I’d like to have the picture quality option on the front menu though rather than having to go to the 2nd page.

Is anyone else finding it hard to focus on the menu though? I sometimes have to close one eye to focus on it.

petermc Not having issues focusing on the menu myself, but I also liked having the quality dropdown on the first menu.

petermc .... see there is the rub (no pun intended haha). I don't use the picture quality settings, but I regularly use the sync settings, so for me it needs to be on the top layer of menus. Which brings us back to essentially restoring the previous 1st level options menu on the side pane. It was easier to use and much less hassle.

"Program your controller"? There's an option for that?

(Goes to look more carefully at options I've never paid attention to).

Holy crap, I've been going through the menus to adjust pitch, when I can actually adjust pitch without pulling up any menus at all? Wow, that's going to make using this app SO MUCH BETTER!!!!

New UI seems fine to me. I didn't like going a menu level deeper to adjust pitch, but now, thanks to reading this discussion, I realize I don't have to open any menus to do that. So no complaints. The info about the video, and clicking to see other videos with the same actresses, seems easier to find here than it was previously.

My one suggestion for future updates is making it possible to read the full titles of videos when looking at the gallery of videos pages. (I'm not sure if that's what that page is called. The "main" page - the page which shows thumbnails of videos we can watch.) The full titles often contain info about the plot or premise which help me know if it's a video I'm interested in watching or not, and it would be nice to see that without having to click through to the video.

might be good for a separate thread on controller programming

The only problem with the controller programming is the settings only work in streaming mode. When you use Deo/SLR for offline / local playback, none of the mappings carry over... At least, not on the PC version.

i guess i see why the new system is not used on the cam side of things...there were a few great pic opportunities and feature was not there.

they ought to think about it...would keep people surfing cam side of things more...which means probably tipping...hard to be in the room and not tip anything

@[deleted] Current implementation of seek bar with blocks is not cool at all. Rather confusing for most videos
Would be cool to make it optional

Also controller programming has to be highlighted. Really cool feature some very few seem to use

Maybe i missed it but where did the tilt foncton go? And it should be on the front page so I can do it while watching not have to dig through menu's.

Have to agree this new UI is very annoying and I would rather they reverted to the old one..

it's possible the little motion button used with the pointer finger can adjust tilt...it is moving it up and down...i think there is picture adjustment as it does that to move further away also?

        try it

g2kbuffetboy -- another issue I had was that every time the program was updated, the mapping I did went away and I had to map again. Pain in the butt. I stopped doing it.

        Maybe that's fixed now?

my mistake...it's the THUMB that might be changing the tilt view. not sure it's exactly like the other method, but it's quick

the camera feature is very cool...might be best to stop the action and take the pic or you never know exactly when the shot is taken. the results can be zoomed and everything....was practicing on paula shy's new clip

I'm a huge proponent to get UI back to what it was. I believe there's a potential to improve things in current framework. Might take one or rather two iterations to greatly improve things. Will have a big team discussion on Tue.

doublevr .. great to hear you are taking action to fix the player. Please consider simply rolling back in the meantime. I have simply stopped using SLR for now. The new player is just too frustrating.
